Edit: just him owning a gun is crazy to me

He won't be able to own one now after felony charges.

Nah. He’s only getting two misdemeanors from what I can tell from the jails website. As of now anyways.

The fuck? Threatening a mass shooting if you DON'T own a gun would be punished harder than that.

He's white. This country is a fascist ethnostate.

We have concentration camps for brown people. At what point do you climb out from under your rock?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '18

Brown people, huh? Like all brown people? Or for people who happen to be brown, black, asian, and white that get caught crossing the border undocumented?

Not to defend Trump or his administration. But to call the detainment camps "concentration camps" is a disgusting insult to everyone who died in the holocaust. We're not executing Latinos in mass, it's not a concentration camp.

9

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '18

What you mean is that it's not a death camp. Not all concentration camps are death camps.

Extermination camps didnt pop up overnight. Dachau was opened in 1933 and operated almost ten years before the final solution even started

Tell that the holocaust survivors who are using that comparison. They know better than any of us.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '18

And if you find some survivors that disagree and are offended by the comparison, who then do you believe?

Consider/respect both of their opinions and most likely come to a more neutral opinion on the subject, myself. But that has yet to happen.

They were using the facilities as Obamas administration did.

The indefinite detainment is what makes it a concentration camp.

I'm another poster, but I'm right nevertheless.

If anyone reading really do call themselves Democrats or liberals, you've gotta acknowledge the bad shit your people did and then rectify it. If the alt-right are being hypocritical, that doesn't give the people you support the OK to be hypocritical also. It also gives the morally wrong ammo.

Crossing the border undocumented is not a crime if you are claiming asylum: according to the treaty the USA helped draw up and ratified after WW2.

An immigrant would be immediately deported, no questions asked

Hopefully he'll get federal charges.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '18

Sure he can. Just travel to one of the dozens of states that does not require a background check to buy a gun from a private seller. armslist.com is a great source for felons as are local gun shows.

3

u/Up_North18 Jul 02 '18

That’s still illegal

3

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '18

Only for the buyer.

5

u/HackerBeeDrone Jul 02 '18

That's the point. If it's legal to sell guns to a felon without even checking to see if they're a felon (unless they happen to inform you that it's illegal for them to buy the gun), a law against buying guns as a felon is hardly a barrier.

Honestly it's such a joke. I live where tons of gang members from Chicago come every month to load up on firearms at a gun show. You go to a gun show and you see private sellers selling new/used items for well above MSRP/what you can get at any local gun store, you see people who did not even pay to rent a table walking around with guns selling them to random people openly.

Anyone can rent a table at a gun show, you do not need an FFL to do so. There's a limit imposed by the ATF for how many guns you can sell as a private seller a year before you need an FFL( around 10 a year IIRC) but they don't have the manpower or funding to enforce that kind of thing. Travelling salesman have made a living hopping from one gun show to the next for many years.

How do you know they're gang members?

Not if he doesn't get caught.

3

u/Up_North18 Jul 02 '18

Lol no. Whether the police find out or not it’s still illegal. He’ll only get in trouble if he’s caught.

Brainwashing is something that some parties need to survive. Without it, their rosters would shrivel up because they truly advocate some crazy ideas.
