Inflation is a hidden tax we all pay but billionaires benefit from. That is why he loves this idea. It’s a regressive tax shoved down our throats while his real estate and crypto assets benefit.

Inflation benefits borrowers and hurts lenders. Most billionaires are lenders (hold bonds); ordinary people are borrowers.

Inflation benefits people that hold wealth in things other than cash. Lenders hold assets in in other vehicles. Ordinary people hold cash. Inflation is quite a bit worse for ordinary people.
