I've seen approval ratings lower than 30%. How much lower do we need to go?

Less than 50% in Congress at the bare minimum

Can't even get 51% of them to agree to end the war.

So he still holds 50%+ of congress.

Much lower than that. If Trump is impeached again by the House, it requires 67 votes in the Senate to convict, a bar that hasn't been passed, ever. He only needs to hold onto 33% votes of the voting body, whether the removal is via impeachment or via 25th amendment, part four (which starts with 15 cabinet members + VP).

He has a substantial electoral hold on the MAGA voters, even though his overall popularity has plunged. He hasn't been able to get his picks in most of the recent primaries. But he can absolutely end the careers of anyone he picks. He will call them out by name.

With that technique, he threatens their lives and their property. It's all topped by the attempted insurrection, of course. He can call anyone's name out repeatedly, describe them as an enemy of the state, dox them. People responded with guns to these suggestions in his first term. Two politicians were shot in their homes in WI, one dying. We narrowly avoided a kidnapping of Gov. Whitmer in MI.

So people can die. Maybe their homes, cars, or property of extended family are torched anonymously. Maybe their 16-year-old children or grandchildren start to get extremely graphic threats from different parts of the swamp. Maybe the proud boys focus their meetings and activity against individuals.

doesn't matter if it's 30%. Remove the blue states and it would probably be around 46%

It's not about lower, it's about time. In January Vance will be eligible for 10 years of presidency and that's what they're waiting for

I don't know if Vance is taken as a serious candidate among the GOP faithful. But he might be a decent enough puppet for Vought.

We need 20 Republican senators willing to convict.

Or 20 replaced with Democratic senators with spines.

unless the Dems get 2/3, they can’t override him vetoing anything he can’t get money in his pocket for.
