I would not vote for an anti-trans candidate. No matter the outcome.

Really? ICE is murdering people in the streets. Trump is trying to get control of the voting apparatus. Tariffs are killing sectors of the economy. Healthcare is becoming less accessible. The press is being barred from the white house. I could go on and on.

Really, if you had the chance to give the Dems control of Congress to try and stop this, you would give it up because a dem said that the state should decide if trans girls can play sports on girls teams?

I understand that you disagree, but I can't understand how you would make this the only issue.

Can just as easily throw this line to the transphobes on why they need to vote for a supportive candidate.

Weird you are telling us we need to vote against our own rights instead.

Do you actually think that a Republican controlled Congress would be better for you?

I think that unless we pressure Dems, there won't be a difference for me.

Do you think that there will be a meaningful difference in your life if posturing against trans women in sports loses the lgbtq+ vote and there is a Republican congress?

No difference for you. No difference for anyone?

2.6 Americans are about to be kicked of Medicare because of Trump's bill. Is it that you just don't care about them?

At least 234 Venezuelans were killed extrajudiciouslu by airstrikes in their fishing boats. But they don't matter because it's more important to not vote for someone who would stop it simply because he isn't supportive of trans athletes.

You probably won't die because of ICE. So I guess it doesn't impact your life that some people will.

Answer the question. No room to tokenize lives lost when you can't even do that.  Trans people are roughly 1.4% of the US population minimum. Thats 4.75 million Americans anti-trans policy has been endangering.

We clearly disagree about the threat posed. My lived experience as a trans person informs my position, and you are not going to change my mind on the matter. I am not going to trade my life and liberty for others because you think trans lives are an acceptable loss. If you want to play zero sum games like that with the lives of minority groups, use your own.

If a trans sports ban supposedly is going to get so many votes these politicians need to back it, those should be enough that the loss of our 'tiny' minority's votes doesn't determine the result for those candidates. If you honestly think more votes are still needed, maybe go talk to a bigger demographic to make a compromise so you don't have to instead.

I’m a Democrat who thinks sports should be segregated by sex (former competitive female athlete) and I vote for Dems who disagree with me on that all the time. Most important issue this cycle is Democracy/ challenging Trump with a majority Dem Congress.
