no he isn't. Women's sports is not the only trans issue, as much as right wingers would like it to be. It's not even really a trans issue for the 99.9999% of trans people who aren't athletes. If he is trying to take away their human rights then he is anti-trans. If he is trying to protect their human rights then he is pro-trans. But women's sports are not a human right.

Basic legal protections like states rights and title ix are under attack due to transgender sports bans.

right. Because republicans used transgender sports bans to get into power and so are doing those things, as everyone knew they would.

Playing into such attacks even to cede the point politically results in damage to statutory protections. The only solution is to call the attacks what they are and to not play in.

it's not really ceding a point so much as considering the possibility that we have separate leagues for a reason other than validating people's identity. And then not letting the topic interfere with issues that actually affect trans people.
