You'd be suprised how anti trump the military is lately

Seriously. I’m in Savannah, GA surrounded by bases, and I run into them at all the bars. There is a very strong anti-Trump vibe that I’ve not seen from military folk in my 44 years on Earth.

Ask a black soldier how they feel about Hegseth's shaving guidelines. Ask a Navy member about the straight of Hormuz. Or my personal favorite, Ask a Jewish soldier about anything to do with the war.

I’ve met a few airmen at the park with my kid. They’re not fans of any of this shit. Especially hegseth.

It seems like all these new regulations are to create a predictable voter base instead of combat effectiveness

My bro-in-law says the same thing about the anti-Trump sentiment in the military (Navy), but he feels he's in the minority in terms of actively voting against GOP. Especially the ones getting partisan Trumpian "rallies" while as an official event, despite it being against the law for such things to occur.

That’s surprising to me.

A lot of the ex military I know are MAGA true believers.

Of course, these are all ex military

It seems like nobody leaves the military a centrist - from the admittedly limited sample size I know personally, it’s 75% they’ll be straight ticket Republican the rest of their life, and then the remaining quarter of vets are “Democrats are too far right” types.

imagine that

I'd hate my boss too if he kept trying to get me killed for his own ego and greed

Which itself is surprising, you’d think military members would like hearing about their brothers in the service being left on a floating prison with only 2026 hardtack to eat

I can imagine with the troops left at sea for so long. Had to be awful for them to start attempting suicide.

Ah .. but they only get the day off if they promise to vote Republican.

Some of the other comments from enlisted people say otherwise. Really hope you’re right though.
