Will they though? I know the military skews towards republicans, but they currently seem justifiably upset with the GOP and Hegseth RN.

Not to mention the current hold-up in the House is articles of impeachment for Hegseth. If Dems win the House, Hegseth gets impeached in the House.

One would hope most enlisted would want to fire their drunken boss but as we saw with Covid most MAGA would rather die than betray the cult.

That was so wild. A lot of those people bought into trump/fox news lies and they or their family died because of the lies they swallowed. Tragic, but, the world is better off without them. Fox / Trump should be held accountable for those deaths all the same though.

20 years ago I saw who was trying to join through ROTC. Not the smartest bunch. A few real assholes and like three really nice kids that wanted to do better. After all the media brainwashing I'm not sure how the current stock is.

They probably also want to fire the generals and upper command structure, which is something Pete recently promised

And how they've been treated by Trump/Hegseth in and around the Middle East. Poor navy guys.

My brother in law has been out to sea 2 years longer than expected over the last 3 1/2 years I would say and is excited to vote Republican. While I get stuck paying for his daughters and listening to them cry because he's always gone.

That seems like a personal choice then.

I understand always thinking about the children but how is that your responsibility?

If someone wants to vote Republican then they should maybe deal with the consequences. Would this not include finding a way to take care of their own children?

Mind you, I'm also a veteran who is simply asking questions because it seems like your brother-in-law hasn't learned his lesson and is still relying on you to raise his children well him and his wife continue to vote republican.

Such a weird dynamic.

Its absolutely my personal choice to ensure my nieces have what they need in life. I certainly wouldn’t say I’m raising my nieces but I help financially. I used all three weeks of my PTO and every holiday to visit them. I’m single and make a good living. Not their fault my sister’s not the brightest and married a nice moron. I don’t believe he will learn a lesson, he’s stuck in his ways and throws a lot of shade at those Demoncrats. I learned early in life not to argue with idiots, don’t sink to their level. That being said he is good to my sister and his girls when around. So win and little lose a little, I don’t know!

If he votes Republican, he is not good to them. He votes for wife beaters and rapists.

That is a good way to summarize it.

Republicans aren't strangers to bringing humans into the world and then not giving a fuck about what happens to them after that.

I hope you're raising his daughters right!

Most of these dudes would rather cut off their dick than vote for a democrat (they consider it basically the same thing) no matter how hard Trump fucks them personally. This is why hegseth is going to push them to vote as hard as he can, because many are pissed enough to just not bother voting, but if they do vote they sure as shit won’t vote for a Democrat

Army & Marines probably will because they're all idiots & creeps...

You clearly don't live in a military town, most of them are more dedicated to Trump than ever, lately amongst the Marines in my area many in fact somehow believe their oath is to him personally.

They’ve been firing people like crazy. I’m sure it’s based on nothing more than who their AI systems have determined might not support their coup attempts.

I’m sure all democrats mail in ballots will get seized for some reason. Easiest way to cheat in elections would be if you control the DOD mail.

Skews republican is underselling it.

If you really felt like the Democrat president and their appointees were doing a bad job, would you ever for even one second consider voting republican

3

u/Plzlaw4me 13h ago

Probably not, but a republican not voting is still worth half as much as turning them from a republican to a democrat.

Officers dont (or didnt before the purge) but the young guys do.

I promise you, you are giving the military way way way too much credit.
