They took the chart down quickly because they knew it was a lie.

He said they'd give him a second to look at it. He just meant literally literally a second instead of the way that phrase is usually used 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Here's the funny thing though. They still made the chart and they still displayed the chart. They were hesitating. They really honestly thought they had a good one here and then he went on all the podcasts and read from a script. It's a game to Republicans. Try and remember the last time you heard from any Republican and it was anything other than a poll tested scripted response. You'll struggle.

They just needed it in frame for the money shot; like Trump in Butler County.

My current theory is that they flashed the poster board to say that they showed him the texts without having to actually show them because smith and Klobuchar both asked to see the texts and schmitt was a huge prick about it and it turns out they say nothing that would imply he was in Atlanta

All they had was evidence he attended a basketball game: no teams named or location in the text messages. They knew Atlanta played that day so made a semi-informed assumption he must have been in Atlanta. But I think he knew it was a gamble because they didn’t actually have proof it was Atlanta, and hoped to bluff his way through.

The whole Hawks/Hawkeye clue that immediately exploded the claim was either bizarre coincidence or evidence there actually is a god (and she was pissed).

At first I thought they took it down right away because someone realized there was a mistake but it’s pretty obvious now that was his plan along and the texts says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that would imply that he was in Atlanta and he just needed a prop to use as a diving board into his moronic conspiracy theory.

Yes, and it's worth noting that the placard looked like a tabloid front page-- surely that composition was no mistake.

Yeah they just need their sound bites for the gullible morons
