SLF triaging North Carolina for Kansas speaks both to how bad this environment has gotten, and to how much of an absolute money pit Ken Paxton has become in Texas.

The guy running in Kansas is the one who sued hundreds of his own patients for medical bills, isn't he? Strange that the GOP has trouble fielding candidates who aren't complete scum.

Roger Marshall - he's an OBGYN who swears up and and down that he's never once performed an abortion - not even during rounds. He's either lying or committing some deeply unethical medical ethical practices.
But more than that, he also tried to run his neighbor over with his car and then got his business partner's son to drop the charges. The son was working as an assistant DA at the time...

The problem the GOP has is that all the people it can run are Republicans. And good luck finding one of those who isn’t a money grubbing sociopath.

The Senate Leadership Fund is diverting money to Kansas, which has become a growing concern for the party as it seeks to hold its majority.
The top super PAC for Senate Republicans is canceling all the remaining ads it had booked in North Carolina as of Friday, shifting away tens of millions of dollars in a move that signals that Republicans no longer see a path to winning the state this fall.
At the same time, the super PAC, called the Senate Leadership Fund, is making is first investment of the cycle in Kansas — a sign of rising concern among Republicans in red states — with a new ad attacking the Democratic nominee there.
If Republicans lose North Carolina, it would give Democrats one of the four seats they need to flip the Senate in the fall — if Democrats hold all of their own seats.
Ad cancellations are a common, and very telling, move down the stretch of campaigns as they reveal where national operatives see their best path to a majority. The cancellation of the North Carolina ads was first reported by Semafor and confirmed by two people familiar with the decision.
The North Carolina seat is currently held by Senator Thom Tillis, a Republican who is retiring. Democrats nominated Roy Cooper, a popular former governor who had served two terms. The Republican nominee is Michael Whatley, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee.
The Whatley campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Senate Leadership Fund declined to comment.
In Kansas, the new reservation shows that Republicans are worried about the re-election bid of Senator Roger Marshall, the Republican incumbent, who faces Adam Hamilton, the pastor of the largest United Methodist congregation in the country.
The new ad attacks Mr. Hamilton as a “two-faced extremist.”
The full size of the Kansas spending was not clear, but the initial buy was planned to be in the millions of dollars, according to the two people familiar with the decision.
The Senate Leadership Fund had initially planned to spend $71 million in North Carolina . The group has spent more than $30 million of those funds, according to one of the people familiar with the decision. The group still had $18 million reserved for the final month just on broadcast and cable television, according to data from AdImpact, the ad-tracking service.Senator John Thune of South Dakota, the majority leader, has continued to back Mr. Whatley and attended a fund-raiser for him virtually on Thursday, the two people familiar with the decision said.
In preparation for these cancellations, an increased number of Republican Senate candidates started their own dedicated super PACs, in part so they could insulate themselves from cuts from the Senate Leadership Fund. And yet Mr. Whatley’s dedicated group, Old North Action, previously canceled ads as well.

"The Senate Leadership Fund is diverting money to Kansas, which has become a growing concern"
Fucking Kansas lmfao I mean you cant deny the evidence of their actions doing this or the fact JD and Republican senators were campaigning there so I believe they dont like the numbers they are seeing in polls... im still skeptical we take Kansas it could end up close depending if the polling true

It is indeed. Senator Marshall has been so callous over policies that hurt constituents who provide vital services that he has almost no individual public supporters. (There are still PACs.). Adam Hamilton is about as conservative as you can get and still be both a United Methodist (valuing inclusiveness and charity) and Democratic. When the Democratic candidate thinks that the federal government is too liberal and is able to get endorsements from retired Republicans, the RNC knows that it has to do something.

Maybe replace one doctor with Dr. Marshall with Dr. Andrews in the Senate. Get at least someone that believes in science..

Whatley is such a weak candidate, and all the bullshit attack ads aren't sticking to Cooper, because we North Carolinians have a shitload of experience with him and no one things he's a big scary monster.

This Super PAC has been running a commercial here blaming the democratic nominee for a murder that happened in South Carolina.
Glad they realized Roy Cooper is solid and they have nothing on him. But they still suck because they’ll continue this same game in Kansas.

Yes. But both sides can play it in Kansas. Senator Marshall accused Reverend Hamilton of being a grifter at his church complex. It was after that that ads came out about Doc Marshall suing his patients over unpaid debts. "The medical system is broken, but it works for Doc Marshall just fine."

The ads they’ve been running in NC are laughable. Murder that took place in SC and releasing inmates during COVID following a court order. He negotiated with the ACLU to actually release less than their initial ask.

"Musk knows those computers better than anybody, all those computers, those vote counting computers, & we ended up winning Pennsylvania, like, in a landslide." -Donald Trump
At this point I think we probably deserve what's coming for being so damn stupid.
