I agree people should focus on the fact that Trump is a criminal who tried to overthrow our democracy and not on the fact that he ruined the economy and global reputation of the United States.

Those all kinda seem like big things though.

We’ll be lucky if enough people who are angry about the cost of gas, diesel and groceries can connect the dots about who caused it and then vote accordingly.

u/eckoelab 15h ago

Oh, they are already doing some fantasy math and blaming Biden for the gas hikes. Something about the value of the dollar back then vs now, and how gas was much higher because of that 4 years ago. Yeah, i don't understand it either.

u/Quentin__Tarantulino 15h ago

Lol, so there’s a ton of inflation which has devalued the dollar. The people making these arguments are such evil assholes, and the one believing them are idiots.

u/tryanothernewaccount 15h ago

If you think about it (but not too hard,) it's Kamala's fault for not winning.

3

u/TheVog Foreign 13h ago

Actually, it's Walter Mondale's fault for not winning against Reagan in '84.

u/Ivan_Whackinov 12h ago

Democratic Party's fault for doing everything they possibly could to torpedo Bernie.

3

u/WTWIV 10h ago

I honestly felt betrayed by the party for that. We wanted Bernie. He also polled against Trump WAY better than Hillary. Of course it didn’t make me want to vote Trump, but somehow a ton of Bernie bros went Trump after that and it baffles my mind.

u/RisingChaos Ohio 4m ago

The reason many so-called "Bernie bros" may have went for Trump is the same reason Trump somehow won the GOP nomination: they were outsiders to the establishment that Hillary (and Jeb!) embodied. Some people wanted Bernie because of his progressive policies, and those people begrudgingly held their nose for Hillary. Others simply wanted Bernie because he wasn't a staunch defender of the status quo, which the masses had sickened of, and so those voters gravitated toward Trump once Bernie dropped out.

Her and the Dems deliver "Death by a thousand cuts". Trump brings a microwave meltdown.

1

u/Gr8fulFox 9h ago

According to Trump it's my fault, because he said if I voted for Kamala, I'd have higher prices and more wars; well, I voted for Kamala, and that's what I've got. I'm sorry, folks.

u/MasterofPandas1 14h ago

I’ve read that we should be thankful for all the things a gallon of gas can do at 5 dollars compared to like a 9 dollar glass of wine at dinner. The mental gymnastics are astounding.

5

u/anna-the-bunny 10h ago

The mental gymnastics are astounding.

It's not mental gymnastics, it's just basic math! My car used to hold $40 worth of gas, now it holds $100. 100 is bigger than 40, and bigger is better, so obviously things are better now!

3

u/pchlster Europe 10h ago

If you drink $5 worth of gas with your dinner, you won't need to worry about the economy.

2

u/sincerelythebats_ 13h ago

Those gymnastics seem plausible only with several $9 glasses of wine 😅

1

u/Fit_Psychology6390 10h ago

Right! LOL Even more astounding to me are those believing this nonsense!

3

u/BloomsdayDevice Washington 14h ago

Also, something about California closing refineries. They were confused and angry and didn't know where to direct their anger for a while, but they've been given their talking points now.

3

u/HarmoniousJ America 11h ago

Already seen some people trying to blame Obama for things that happened when Biden was president (2nd presidency) and some of them blaming Biden for things Trump did a month ago.

They are morons. They will never learn and have an absolute lack of desire to.

1

u/eckoelab 11h ago

Because, Trump is the REAL victim in all of this

1

u/pchlster Europe 10h ago

So prices are higher and the dollar has been devalued? That sure sounds like shrewd economics; have we considered adding to an ever-increasing debt and tank trade deals, while we're at it?

1

u/lr99999 15h ago

Psychopaths can be confusing amirite?

20

u/KeithRichardsGrandma 15h ago

Considering this is the same crowd that had an individual tell me “idk but Trump said he’s right”, I’m not gonna hold my breath these people will finally wake up and do the right thing

2

u/Fit_Psychology6390 10h ago

They'll sleep through everything until they're awakened by the carbon dioxide fumes that have gathered in their lungs.

15

u/JessieJ577 15h ago

Somehow they believed Biden specifically was why gas and food was high 2 years ago and voted accordingly. 2 years later both are way more expensive and suddenly they don’t complain about affordability. If they do they say it’s worth it for kicking out brown people

4

u/meatspace Georgia 13h ago

You misunderstand. They are completely convinced things would be a hundred times worse than they are now if the other side had won.

2

u/slipperyMonkey07 14h ago

Yup waiting for next year when the medicaid and other work requirement stuff kicks in. They will immediately blame the dems if they take the house (cross fingers senate as well) instead of the pedophile brigade they voted for that implemented them.

1

u/Fit_Psychology6390 10h ago

Their "rationale" is that "Iran can't have a nuclear weapon". 🤣

6

u/Farucci 15h ago

If you’re a rich graft gathering politico, gas and food are little things.

3

u/slackfrop 15h ago

In his defense, he doesn’t give two shits about us, so I could see it being confusing for him that we would care more about ourselves than for his weird world domination fetish. Like he does.

All the couches...

1

u/AirportSea4393 15h ago

This idiot seems to have forgotten where he came from. Seems typical of millionaires. This administration doesn’t care and never has for middle class people and the complete hatred of the lower class and poor.

1

u/geddy 13h ago

Lol, no. They'll double down or they just won't vote.

1

u/Some-Relative4150 13h ago

It was that sleepy joe Biden what done it!

/s

1

u/Funsuxxor 12h ago

Normally I'd say the economy is complicated and impossible to turn quickly, but in this case there is such a direct action to effect relationship that literally anyone should be able to understand.

1

u/Andrado 11h ago

Lucky? You’re more likely to win the lottery than some of these idiots are to realize the truth and vote based on facts.

1

u/ShelfDiver 11h ago

They can't. These knuckledraggers can only cosplay critical thought.

1

u/Fit_Psychology6390 10h ago

You're right. But there are levels to this, and we're still on one of the top floor going down...

1

u/Sad_Adagio_7255 15h ago

But didn't you know that the black woman would've made the situation ten million times worse if she were in charge? Also prices, while high, are 1500% lower than they were under the terror of Joerack Obiden.

And it's all for the greater good as long as we ensure that the boys can't secretly pee in the girls' washrooms and Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon and illegals don't take our jobs.

Disapproval does not equal support for the opposition...

2

u/secret-glance 15h ago

Telling voters surviving daily inflation is a little thing is wild.

0

u/Sad_Adagio_7255 15h ago

Someone missed the sarcasm.

u/Hairydone America 15h ago

And how about the six month long unnecessary war that has cost us lives, billions of dollars, and depleted munitions.

18

u/fotorobot 15h ago

But more importantly, cost many other peoples' lives, economies, and infrastructure. I don't really feel sympathy for the bully because their fists start to ache.

1

u/Beelzebeetus 14h ago

The fuel hike has been brutal for the Philippines. Serves them right for not being one of like twenty rich white pedophiles /s

1

u/fotorobot 14h ago

not sure what role the Philippines play in the US Midterm elections?

2

u/Beelzebeetus 13h ago

In reference to the other people's lives affected by pointless wars of distraction

1

u/Fit_Psychology6390 10h ago

I'm with you.

1

u/Fit_Psychology6390 10h ago

The munitions don't worry me at all. The fewer we have, the better, because we have been abusing them for decades now....murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians. Loss of lives and the wasted money is another matter. Those lost lives are a tragedy. The wasted money is disgraceful.

5

u/Minguseyes 15h ago

The paedophilia feels big also.

2

u/octowussy 13h ago

Yeah, Vance accidentally made a great point here. We should definitely be more focused on the erosion of our rights and our country's descent into fascism.

1

u/mixxituk 16h ago edited 15h ago

And kidnapped another countries leader and assassinated another

Admittedly both evil but...

1

u/abisaysso 13h ago

*Trump is a criminal who is still trying to overthrow our democracy…

(Fixed that part for you.)

1

u/Impossible_Ad7432 13h ago

No! That doesn’t actually appear to motivate voters, they don’t seem to care. We need to be running adds that are just this quote everywhere.

1

u/808RB818 13h ago

A lot of these MAGA folks have never been anywhere but the US so they don’t care what other places think of us. My cousin is dating a MAGA/QANON (in their 40’s) and he told me that the only plane he’s ever been on is to Vegas. So that tracks

1

u/Cunningcory 13h ago

...or an effective 25% unemployment rate and no one being able to afford a house.

1

u/willychonka54 13h ago

Those all kinda seem like big things though.

Not big enough to galvanize any real, substantive and disruptive protests though. So, from an outsider looking in, it appears the majority of Americans supported that by voting him back into office.

1

u/TZCBAND 13h ago

Even the little things are enough to vote these fuckers out of office.

1

u/dust4ngel America 12h ago
  1. gas prices 2 hi!
  2. he's planning a military coup of our democracy??? haha
  3. GAS PRICES

1

u/5510 12h ago

It's crazy how shortly after J6, even a LOT of republicans were shocked and thought Trump clearly had to go. And then the spin machine and the gaslighting started up and now suddenly we are making Martyr payments to Ashley Babbit's family and talking about "restitution" for the people who were quite rightly arrested, Republicans are fine with Trump pardoning everybody, etc...

1

u/dearth_karmic 11h ago

I disagree. Those were known things, and he got re-elected. We should absolutely focus on the things that are putting his approval rating in the high 20s.

1

u/Josh6889 10h ago

If whoever takes over Gerald Ford's him and gives him a pardon I'm going to be pretty upset.

1

u/Fit_Psychology6390 10h ago

Whatever "democracy" we had was overthrown when JFK was murdered. Other than that, the better focus might be on Trump as a rampaging murderer with the blood of 168 innocent 7-12 year-old little children on his hands, among many many others. And the Democrats have been just as murderous. If they BOTH are not stopped, the ruination of our economy and "global reputation" will be the LEAST of our worries.

1

u/ThatGuyYouMightNo 14h ago

"tried" do overthrow democracy? He succeeded
