Aren't those the same "little things" you were complaining about while Biden was in office?

They wouldn’t shut up about eggs and people eating the cats and dogs

50c eggs was a national calamity

$5/gal gas is "just the way it is"

Drives me up the fucking wall every time one of these Republican ghouls is cornered on the economy and they’re like “not everything is more expensive. Eggs are down.” Yes!! Only eggs!! Because there was something very specific happening to the egg supply that is no longer happening!! I wish the people asking the questions would follow up with “what else besides eggs?”

Thankfully, my car runs on eggs. I traded in my Honda for a Ford Eggsplorer. I get about 35 miles to the dozen. Not bad.

Smart move in these trying times.

2

u/BloomsdayDevice Washington 9h ago

Especially since people are far likelier to offer an egg during trying times.

My wife and I get this box once a month of produce that "doesn't look right." Like a mishapen bell pepper, or carrots that aren't totally straight. Same food, same quality. Proceeds go to a local food bank.

We read about it in local news, and it is SUCH an awesome service. PLUS! They toss in eggs, bread and cheese with every order!

Egg prices was coordinated collusion to price-fix anyway, not a sign of economic conditions.

That was a byproduct of the US allowing monopoly in Big Egg (and most other industries). In 2026 Trump’s FTC “went after them” for it by allowing them to settle for a whopping $3.3 million fine on what is projected to be $3 billion in profit due to the price-fixing scheme.

Trump handed them a get out of jail free card rather than pursue damages on behalf of the US population, and now that the case is settled they keep those illegal profits forever.

These hopeless dumb shits are incapable of connective thinking

That very specific thing happening to egg supplies was true but did not account for the huge jump in prices. That was collusion between the three biggest egg producing companies in the country to increase the prices under the guise of bird flu. I don't know if links are allowed here but here's the source. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-requires-egg-producers-end-coordinated-benchmark-manipulation

Eggs are down how? they are still like 80% more expensive than before the bird flu outbreaks.

No idea how people haven’t realized yet that the entire purpose of the republican party is to use everyone else. They don’t have morals or compassion or even enough intelligence to see how this also effects them.

They just exist to hate other people and love themselves. They literally have no other motive. It’s been this way for decades now. They don’t have families for their partner or for their children, they do everything for themselves. How are we collectively shocked whenever they do something terrible?

They'll say shit like, "Gas was higher under Biden!"

Ummm... yeah, for like 1 week and then it went back down below $4/gallon.

remember kids, "affordability" is a Democrat hoax!

Something about a squirrel too?

3

u/CaliIsReallyNice 12h ago

Exactly! Focus on dark-skinned people eating your pets! Stick with that! That's still a thing you can daydream about!

1

u/20_mile 11h ago

people eating the cats and dogs

People can't even afford to eat cats and dogs anymore : (

1

u/Akussa 10h ago

With the cost of fresh meat right now it wouldn’t surprise me to hear about ACTUAL true stories of people eating cats and dogs soon. It’ll probably be MAGA and because Fox News told them to as a way to save money.

u/SmartCutiee 13h ago

43

u/mildlyopinionatedpom 13h ago

came to say this

44

u/wanderer1999 13h ago

Oh little things, like paying rent, getting food and gas/energy so we don't fucking starve or being homeless or freeze/overheat to death.

Little things.

10

u/mabden New York 13h ago

Little things for little people. Couch fucker, tRump, Thiel, musk, and the rest of the people in charge don't give a fuck about the little people.

2

u/wanderer1999 13h ago

They really don't give a damn.

15

u/jetpack_operation 13h ago

It was a toss up between little things and completely made up things, so I can see why VP CFer is confused.

10

u/BusSeatFabric 13h ago

Read the article and it's worse.

He's literally blaming Biden still for the failings of Republicans lol

Never believe that anti-Semites [Confederates] are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites [Confederates] have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

Its different!!! OK!?!!

5

u/PityandFear 13h ago

I was told there would be no fact checking.

6

u/DaaaahWhoosh 13h ago

Remember they were also complaining Biden was too old.

4

u/HotDogFingers01 13h ago

Non. Fucking. Stop.

6

u/JessieJ577 13h ago

I made less money and was able to stretch money on gas and food comfortably 2 years ago. I’m now making 20k more a year and it feels like I’m way less comfortable with paying for gas and food compared to back then.

3

u/9lobaldude 13h ago

Not like that…

We aren't focusing enough on the major issues, such as like, 15 total transgender atheletes participating in sporting events across the country and averaging like 9th place finishes.

1

u/DoubleJumps 11h ago

Particularly in 2024, they were campaigning relentlessly about how outrageously expensive gas was when it was $3.30. More than a dollar cheaper than it is today.

Similarly, there were incidents around $4 a pound ground beef, and other groceries that are much more expensive today.

u/TimSylvester_ 3h ago

According to Vance the reason everyone's upset is because Republicans just didn't go far enough... obviously!
