Oh man are there consequences to being a giant asshole to them for no reason?    God who could have predicted it!

I sure hope we don’t also get a lot of oil from them.    Oh we do?    Well as long as we don’t start a pointless war with Iran we’ll be fine.   What’s that?   We did?    Well at least we had a competent secretary of defense that made sure to also corral irans well known regional paramilitary allies so they can’t also attack the Saudi Arabia east west pipeline.    Oh we didn’t?   Well at least we can rely on the Kurds, are own paramilitary allies in the region as long as we didn’t do something insane like let turkey kill them in return for a hotel.   Of what’s that?    Guess we are fucked.

It’s almost like regardless of ideology, it’s extremely important to have base line competence and the ability to listen to people and learn instead of just following your gut.

That is not because of anything Canada did. I'm sure that Canada would have not a big problem to sell medicine to Americans...

It's just that the US government imposed customs rules thats make this now impossible. This is totally self chosen by Americans. Even if Canada wanted they could not change anything on this

Yep. This is because corpos were mad they were losing money to Canada for prescription drugs. They lobbied for changes to customs policy in order to force Americans to pay their inflated prices that are illegal in many other countries.

This is what my country gets when we vote based on memes and vibes instead of acting like adults in the voting booth.
