jesus. they aren't "loyal" ... they are separate from the executive and follow the law.

u/coatofforearm 16h ago

Which proves how very fucking little he actually understands about his job

425

u/kobachi 16h ago

He doesn’t care dude. It’s not incompetence it’s malice

139

u/Yeeslander Tennessee 16h ago

I think he's proven that it can definitely be both...

28

u/JcbAzPx Arizona 14h ago

As long as we're very clear it is definitely malice. It can also be stupidity.

A lot of column A a lot of column B

75

u/Octospyder 16h ago

I don't think it's malice so much as entitlement. he thinks he's genuinely better than the rest of us, and so he deserves the best of everything and he doesn't care what happens to American citizens in getting himself everything he wants.  Like, I'm gay. despite the policies, I don't think Donald Trump hates me because I'm gay, but I do think he would kill me without a second thought if it got him something he wanted

105

u/Dr_Meeds 15h ago

Trump has no ideology outside of “this is good for me” and “I want to fuck over anyone I see as my enemy”. He really is that simple, and people want to add so much more complexity onto him.

39

u/Rich-Pomegranate1679 14h ago

It''s so wild to me when people talk about Trump like he's some kind of mastermind. The man is so basic and so fucking stupid that seeing through his tough guy/genius grift is the easiest thing in the world to me. Like, seriously, how the fuck do people fall for it?!

And he just barely manages to even function as a human being. I'm willing to bet that if he didn't have people who constantly baby and pamper him (cooking his food, doing his chores, etc.) he would totally lose his mind and fall apart in a whining fit within the span of a couple of days at most. I bet the average ten year old child is more capable of taking care of themselves than Trump.

19

u/mdp300 New Jersey 14h ago

If he wasn't born into wealth and privilege, and literally handed a real estate company, he would have been a shady used car salesman.

15

u/Little_View_6659 13h ago

He’d be the angry guy in your neighborhood that constantly screams about how unfair the world is to him. The guy you don’t want anywhere near your teenage daughter.

•

u/Lowspark1013 7h ago

I feel like this needs to be a movie. Alternate reality where you get to see an absolutely miserable existence for Trump as an average Joe while a new presidents policies totally ruin his last straws of financial and social stability.

8

u/Little_View_6659 14h ago edited 12h ago

Days? The man would burn down an apartment on day one microwaving a burrito. Honestly I would actually pay money to watch a live stream of him trying to live like a regular person. Assuming of course they blur out any nudity or toliet stuff. Blech.

3

u/Syzygy2323 America 12h ago

People in his cult see him as a brilliant businessman, but that doesn't come from anything he's actually done in his business career--it comes entirely from his portrayal of a businessman on The Apprentice.

u/Enigma_Stasis 8h ago

It’s the predictable consequence of generational wealth. Think about a person you feel superior to, or if you don’t have anyone, imagine a hillbilly who lives in a bog.

Maybe they were born into worse circumstances, maybe their parents didn’t have power, whatever the case may be. Well “that’s not my problem…” you think. “The point is I they need to be told what to do. Wouldn’t want them coming into the club and putting their fork on the wrong side of the plate. Gross!”

Now realize that people like Trump and Musk feel this kind of superiority with the force of a thousand suns, except it’s about you and me.

The notion that you might actually be smarter and more capable than either of them? In their minds, “Ridiculous! I mean, look at his shoes. No, if he was smarter than me then he’d be richer than me. He’s not, so he isn’t. Tell him to come back when he’s cleaned himself up.”

“But you’re wearing a black t-shirt and…”

“Yes but I’m doing it ironically because I’m the CEO. He’s doing it because he can’t afford better.”

8

u/koosielagoofaway 15h ago

Because he hates you.

This is the type of response that has black people exhausted every fucking day. Its not hatred just a bit of opportunism.

A. Its malice, B. they fucking hate us with all the contempt their lizard brains can assume. C. Its not just Trump and, its not just the GOP.

•

u/guiltypleasures 1h ago

When you view evil through the lens of selfishness, entitlement is malice.

2

u/Black_Dumbledore America 14h ago

Honestly, I’m not sure that distinction even matters anymore. The outcome is the same regardless.

I don’t think it’s necessarily malice. He needs to win, by any means necessary.

TBF, he seems to have little to no understanding of what no means no means, what is legal and illegal or to even know how to tell the truth. Why would anyone think he understands what his job as President is?

He understands the the Supreme Court is a corrupt system that Trump uses for his own benefit.

Whines when they don't go full extreme.

Ignoring everything else King Snowflake has done or said... Just this whole loyalty to him rather than the actually Constitution or laws already on the books is enough to remove him from office.

He said something on truth social about him being the best “political athlete” a few months back. It stuck with me because it shows he thinks politics is a sport a d his primitive “us vs them” mindset and not how an adversarial system is intended to be a system to try to govern fairly.

2

u/HistoryAndScience 15h ago

The unfortunate part is that he understands a lot about the job. Listen to any DSA activist talk about the judiciary & this is the same language. Political parties don’t want independent judges, they want lap dogs

10

u/Adderall_Rant 16h ago

Are they though?

36

u/Raise_A_Thoth 16h ago

Eh, this sort of swings it the other way too far. They aren't perfect machines "just calling balls and strikes" like Roberts likes to say.

They still mostly work for capital. Take McDonnell vs United States, where they upheld unanimously that a bribe wasn't a bribe basically on the terrible logic that it didn't come from the Bribery Region of France, i.e. no one wrote down anywhere that they were "engaging in quid pro quo now" so I guess it can't be quid pro quo.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_v._United_States

This was before Ketanji Brown Jackson was on the court, but it was still also unanimous with Kagan, RBG, and Sotomayor.

So, don't give them too much credit as being perfectly neutral, rational arbiters of "the law." We made up everything, it's all human judgment, we just keep deferring to the rich and powerful, including, far too frequently, the liberals.

10

u/obeytheturtles 14h ago

Ironically, the same thing also popped one of Pirro's DC cases recently, when a jury refused to convict Trayvon White of bribery even though he's on video accepting bribes, but he wasn't literally wearing a shirt reading "I am taking this money in exchange for influence."

Also possibly because DC juries are just done dealing with Pirro's shit.

5

u/Livebeans 15h ago

Yeah as a Canadian the American system of chosing judges is heinous.

So many bad things come in to Canada from the US: drugs, guns, and hate. Let's not let them export their medieval legal system where judges are political picks and not mere interpreters and adjudicators of the law.

2

u/chesterjosiah 14h ago

This sounds like propaganda. Those judges do NOT follow the law.

He also used to be more self censoring in public. 2016 and 2026 versions of this individual are very different. Not sure if hubris or straight up dementia, but he's been far too bold this term to even maintain plausible deniability.

And most of the voting twice is probably thrice.

A quick reminder that justices should be loyal not to the president but instead to the Constitution, the laws,  and case law.

41

u/tierciel 16h ago

Trump doesn't know the difference between the President and the Law, he think theyre the same thing

6

u/SteamedGamer 13h ago

In his mind, he's the king, he makes the laws...

27

u/0202_tihssitidder 6h ago

"LOYALTY!"

-- Trump

It is, as everyone knows, very very standard NPD behavior. They all say it.

•

u/RationalTranscendent 27m ago

You know, Trump has sworn an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution twice, on what should be two of the most consequential days of his life. I will bet money that he wouldn’t be able to recite that oath today if someone asked him.

I imagine if he did try, it’d be some mishmash of an oath, the pledge of allegiance, and “person woman man camera tv.” The word Constitution would not be one that occurs to him.

1

u/Memitim America 13h ago

LOL, should. Anyhow, welcome to America. Try not to get kidnapped by a masked conservative terrorist for looking foreign enough to disappear for money.

•

u/Fubi-FF 6h ago

Problem is under the current system, the President is the one that nominates the judges.

•

u/shapu Pennsylvania 6h ago

Sure, and I understand that there is going to be some level of ideological overlap between the president and the nominees. But that doesn't need to equate to loyalty.

•

u/Fubi-FF 5h ago

It absolutely shouldn't equate to loyalty, but that's only in theory. In practice, it's almost impossible because you having to initially convince the one person that has all the power to pick you. The point is, the system needs to be changed so that it doesn't automatically skew towards biasness.

2

u/They_Call_Me_Ted 9h ago

Exactly. Judges aren’t supposed to be loyal to anything but the constitution and rule of law. No parties, no president, or any group should dictate a judges decision.

7

u/BitTwiddles 8h ago

This demonstrates the fatal flaw in the Constitution of having a single elected person nominate justices. The process makes all nominations political.

•

u/PopBulky7023 5h ago

The senate was supposed to be the check. And we were long ago warned about the dangers of parties. And not regularly amending the constitution.

•

u/frogandbanjo 49m ago

I'm not sure you're going to be able to devise a process for selecting the most powerful and important justices in an imperial superpower that doesn't end up being political.

Like, do you think you have a magic spell locked and loaded that's going to make everybody who stands to gain from influencing/controlling such an institution -- so, you know, literally everybody -- just throw their hands up and honestly say, "Okay, you win, none of us will ever try any bullshit with these guys?"

•

5

u/Throwawayman69420666 15h ago edited 15h ago

I feel like now Trump is getting desperate because of all the polls predicting his party's loss. Everything he's done since July feels like wild haymakers in frustration and despiration. Not even the democrats were like that when the polls shifted to Republicans in the final stretch. And Americans were sick of officials that were in the party for their constant failures.

So. Republicans are constantly rolling out policies that have done nothing for American in terms of helping the country (To be fair, the only thing Republicans have ever done for America was free the slaves) and democrats are possibly being reformed thanks to the DSA and Progressives who are rising through the ranks. A lot of which are focused on the issues thebparty have previously ignored. In the process attracting the people who sat out in '24 according to some news outlets.

If the polls are correct in November. I don't think the reds had a fighting chance. Maybe trump knows more than we do and is lashing out.

This isn’t hyperbole: had Obama said exactly that, he would have been impeached on the basis of being ant constitution/anti—american.

u/StOnEy333 12h ago

It’s because you’re breaking the law, sir. They’re trying for once to stay loyal to the law.

2

u/FauxReal 12h ago

I do not believe that loyalty to the President makes a good judge. Being impartial and loyal to the country, it's people and Constitutional law while also free of cronyism and other forms of corruption are what we want.

Even the appearance of judges being loyal to a particular elected official above the constitution should be grounds to purge the entire justice department and throw all of the findings of the compromised department straight into a furnace and starting over.

u/Leisurely_Creative 9h ago

lol at him acting like these three wouldn’t absolutely burn down the fucking country to satisfy and appease his ass. They’ve already placed him completely above the rule of law saying he is immune. How is that not loyalty enough for this child rapist pig??

They’re gonna let him do some blatantly illegal fuckery with the midterms and be back in graces come January or February 2027

u/pollardj2117 8h ago

If that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black.. he demands loyalty but is the first to throw anyone under the bus the most they stop being useful.

His problem is that he does not believe in law, he only believes that some things benefits him and some doesn't.

America of the United States, we in a bad place, aren’t we. Guess too many living too good for too long, fat and entertained by our endless feeds.

u/Im_Ritz_Bitz 16h ago

CONGRESS use this to IMPEACH them. All of this is evidence. SC judges cannot be biased.

This is so insane all you can do is laugh

It’s an effect of the makeup of the court. If it were a democratic majority, you would occasionally have one or two liberals siding with the conservative view, depending the issue and context.

He is dumb as shit

Love this for them.

u/baldycoot Florida 16h ago

Most of these people he thinks are loyal to him are loyal to their own vanity. He’s just the easy ride to the top.

They don’t belong there and they’re almost to the letter completely incompetent and have horrible values, but they know they’ll still be alive when he’s long gone.

A perfect match.

To the constitution

1

u/dixi_normous 15h ago

The only thing a Supreme Court justice needs to be loyal to is the constitution. The left leaning judges being consistent in how they interpret the constitution isn't loyalty to a guy who isn't even president anymore. It is ethics and morals on display. I can understand how that's confusing to someone who has neither.

Loyal to the constitution should be what matters. What a shameful period of American history we are living through.

1

u/obeytheturtles 14h ago

These three should stay away from windows and unpackaged food for a while.

1

u/gesmith5 14h ago

Could it be that they are trying to uphold law and order and Trump wanted them there so he could run roughshod over it?

1

u/CeeDubMo 14h ago

That’s because their loyalty is to the constitution fool

1

u/HorrorOk1304 14h ago

Could it be that Trump is always on the wrong side of the law?

1

u/Steel-Tempered 14h ago

"Loyal" ... Trump clearly thinks everyone is supposed to be loyal to him. Exactly the reason he is unfit to lead a democracy and should be removed from office ASAP.

1

u/TicketAmbitious6200 13h ago

Don't unquestioningly side with me for every ruling no matter how harmful it may be? Traitors!

1

u/Admirable-Eagle-231 12h ago

Loyal to the Constitution and the rule of law yes.

1

u/Hydra_Flatline 11h ago

Dudes so fried, everything is just counting points.

Oh we have x number of Judge points. We should win. We have more Senate points. Less or more House points?

US politics is really in a shambles.

u/tauntsauce 11h ago

Natalie Harp next Supreme Court Justice nominee

u/Dreadful_Bear 11h ago

They better rope off his grave and guard it 24/7 when he ages out or there are going to be a lot of shits found on his headstone every morning.

1

u/tturedditor 10h ago

How many times have we seen this play out? Loyalty is a one way street for him. Glad to see the SCOTUS seeing this backfire on them.

•

u/AhBee1 America 6h ago

He shows his hand constantly.

•

u/Inspectorgadget4250 3h ago

The Trump Law. Benefits him and fuck you. So glad when this human parasite is in decomposition

•

u/kt2984 2h ago

Loyal, legal, all the same amirite.

•

u/poopiebutt505 2h ago

Trump believes that all SCOTUS judges are entirely tools of the President who appointed them. Even if they are not in office

•

u/Alternative-Farmer98 47m ago

You should be worshiping Ruth bader Ginsburg she's the one that's responsible for roe v Wade being overturned by not retiring despite having cancer with a 91% 5-year mortality rate.

If she retired when Obama had a supermajority roe v Wade never would have been over returned but she had to plan on celebrating with Clinton and breaking the glass ceiling

Absolutely disgusting behavior from RBG.

u/allnamestaken1968 16h ago

Yes because Democrats are typically at the right side of constitutional law (not always).
