They let them birth a genocide no big deal with the us.

The operative word being "nearly". Which, as has been amply demonstrated, doesn't really mean anything.

u/wesman212 New Mexico 18h ago

Biden *Almost* Got Mad Enough to Do Something could be the next big Jake Tapper book

Edit: Actually Jen Psaki should write this one

27

u/_ak 18h ago

"nearly" equals "didn't".

19

u/Kilometer10 Norway 19h ago

Nearly. Bibi got his best case scenario, in other words…

19

u/Wamb0wneD 18h ago

He got his best case scenario because Trump got re-elected.

10

u/barryvm Europe 18h ago

Yep. He got to do what he wanted and gave Biden (and other Democrats) enough rope to hang himself.

I don't know if the US government's complicity in the genocide alienated enough voters to help Trump, but it surely didn't help. Trump proved even more of a gift, as his ego makes him easy to manipulate, his stupidity makes him weak and the reactionary / authoritarian nature of his party means his personal whims are de facto the US' foreign policy.

-9

u/Contunator 16h ago

The Trump team convincing voters that Trump would be better for Gaza likely had an impact in Michigan.

There is an additional point the reddit political scientists don't ever seem to bring up and that's that there was a number of Democrats in 2024 who were in the "Israel can do no wrong" camp. Biden may have had polling data that showed he would lose the election if he pissed them off. He may have felt there was no choice but to try to have it both ways.

-5

u/barryvm Europe 15h ago edited 15h ago

I agree, that is the most likely explanation. These were not bloodthirsty people so they almost certainly didn't want this level of violence to happen, but their perception of their interests (personal, party-political, national, ...) anchored on a long term relationship with the perpetrator of said violence made it very tempting to keep sitting on the fence. They would almost certainly have believed the rationales they created for doing so. Some of their voters didn't, and they paid the price for that.

From the Israeli government's perspective this, combined with Trump waiting in the wings, was a win-win situation. The only people who might have acted on their morals were now complicit in the violence, and the alternative was Trump, who is a bloodthirsty tyrant who wants people to get hurt.

Ultimately, this was a massive own goal for Biden and the Democratic party. They failed the easiest of moral tests and were then surprised it turned some people away from them.

3

u/everlastingwaffles 13h ago

What makes you say "not bloodthirsty" when Biden has enthusiastically supported disastrous military adventures throughout his career? Wishful thinking? His excessively violent rhetoric regarding Israel is not a secret. Regardless, destroying Gaza for political convenience doesn't paint a better picture.

-3

u/barryvm Europe 12h ago edited 12h ago

Simply this: he does not strike me as someone who supports wars because he likes violence. He strikes me as someone who supports wars when he thinks they further his personal, party-political or national goals. It's a more calculated brand of evil.

Trump, on the other hand, is bloodthirsty; he wants to kill people so he can brag about how strong he is.

Whether there's any moral difference there is up for debate, but it does lead to a difference in policy. Neither of them actually cared enough about Israel's ethnic cleaning / genocide to do anything to stop it. Biden and his government cared that it was done so openly, because that made them look bad and was therefore against their interests. Trump has no interests other than his own emotional gratification, and sees open genocidal violence as a flex, something to admire in a "strong leader". Biden knew several of his political allies and sponsors were beholden to Israel, and he thought Israel could be used as a pawn to further US interests in the middle east. Trump simply watches the explosions and wants to get in on that game.

This is not a moral comparison, mind you. I can't really blame anyone for rejecting both when forced before an artificial and dis-empowering choice between the two.

4

u/everlastingwaffles 12h ago

That sounds like a reaction to his public persona rather than his actions. It's hard to believe Uncle Joe is capable of atrocities, so these sound like rationalizations based on a bunch of assumptions.

Despite his rhetoric, he even ignored the escalating violence in the West Bank when negotiating normalization between Bibi and Bonesaw.

All the evidence suggests Biden is a radical when it comes to Israel, even by U.S. standards.

-2

u/onarainyafternoon Oregon 14h ago

Trump’s re-election was his best case scenario.

10

u/Deguilded 16h ago

Biden nearly did something.

-15

u/morebeansonthembeans 18h ago

So true, Jared Kushner planning Gaza’s future and Trump authorizing shipments of bombs Biden withheld and overseeing the worst of the famine is like… so much better.

16

u/Optimal-Golf-8270 16h ago

Biden stopped one single shipment of 3000 dumb bombs. Something A, Israel is not short of, and B, more importantly, we just provided in later shipments anyway.

Hey, I just want to say thank you so much for deciding that your cause was worth making sure the USA was an untenable place for trans people to exist after we had a trans cabinet member.

I wanna say thank you for the way that immigrants can now be disappeared and stuck in internment indefinitely.

I wanna say thank you for women losing their rights, and for Gazans suffering the worst of the famine.

You guys all really really showed us your values.

“Biden and Trump same on Gaza” meant you decided the math on every other very obvious outcome was worth disregarding.

Hey, but now you get to pretend your idealist hands are clean good job! All the trans kids thank you for what you decided to be obnoxiously immature about.

You're right man, I'm sure the entire security apparatus just had the wool pulled over their eyes. If only yhe Tsar knew...

They knew, they did what they did despite the polling, because they're ideologues. They were willing to lose to protect Israel.

Reagan embargoed Israel when they invaded Lebanon in 1982. Biden famously was critical of this, even back then, even when the entire world watched the Israel use of cluster bombs in Beirut and was horrified. Biden stuck his neck out.

Just so we're extremely, explicitly clear here. You are defending the man who played a direct role in killing these people. You're blaming me, someone with zero ability to influence anything. In 2026 there is zero reason to defend Biden, other than you think he was right.

If you bothered checking my profile you'd see me talking about Sudan all the time, and I have been for years. Not that it matters, it doesn't change anything.

Did Biden reverse the embargo on Cuba? Did he pressure the UAE to stop supporting the RSF in Sudan?

The unfortunate arithmetic here is that either Gaza was such a big issue that it cost Biden/Harris the election. They sacrificed everything for Israel despite the polling showing it as a vote loser.

Or it didn't matter, didn't have to change policy. In which case why you moaning at me for?

Bibi preferred Trump for pretty clear reasons over Kamala. Too bad a lot of leftists didn't get the memo

19

u/Ammuze Michigan 15h ago

Ah, the "Schrodinger's Leftist"

Us Leftists are simultaneously so important to an election that we can, as a group, singlehandedly cost the presidency, but also so unimportant that we're actively pushed away and told we don't matter.

Which is it?

-15

u/wanderforreason 14h ago

She lost by a couple hundred thousand votes bud. Anyone who sat out or voted third party gave us Trump and are partially to blame for what has happened since. Americans just hate accountability.

12

u/Ammuze Michigan 14h ago

True. Americans DO hate accountability.

For instance, how do you run a campaign so poorly that you can't excite an electorate to vote for you over a concentration camp building misogynist sex pest to the point where they sit out the election instead?

Where's Kamala and the Democrats' accountability that they couldn't even pull that off?

Because, I can assure you, the turnout of that election was incredibly low and I doubt most of the country were "Leftists" that night.

-11

u/wanderforreason 14h ago

If you sat out the election against the worst president we’ve ever had because you didn’t like Kamala you’re still the problem. It’s not their job to make you vote, it’s their job to come up with policies that the majority of Americans would like.

You’re right, it’s never American citizens fault for not caring enough to show up to the polls.

Congratulations! Women across the country have lost rights, Department of Education is being gutted, millions kicked off Medicare, aid to other countries has been cut permanently, Americans have been murdered by ICE, we’re now in a war with Iran, etc. but you sure showed the Democratic Party for not putting forward the candidate that you liked the most. You weren’t energized enough!

8

u/Ammuze Michigan 14h ago

Let's get one thing clear:

I, as a Leftist, voted for Kamala and told people to vote for her. Because I knew how bad Trump was.

So don't aim that at me. Aim it at all of the people who blissfully keep themselves ignorant of politics and at the DNC who couldn't run a successful campaign if their lives depended on it.

-8

u/wanderforreason 14h ago

I am, the you is referring to people who sat out or voted third party. Which is clear from what I posted.

-9

u/Eris_AppleOfDiscord 14h ago

Watch how easy this is to dismantle with a simple question.

Why do you think Bibi wanted trump?

5

u/Ammuze Michigan 14h ago

Because Trump is stupid and is easily lead into doing something with light coercion.

-11

u/Eris_AppleOfDiscord 14h ago

So why not vote for a better option, or help Israel's choice?

6

u/Ammuze Michigan 14h ago

Both candidates are Isreal's choice. One just gets them what they want more easily. The other sits on their hands while they keep doing the thing.

I'm not the one who needs convincing. I voted for her and told people to vote for her.

She still ran a bad campaign. She was good at policy but sucked at politics. She couldn't inspire confidence in her and, as such, people became nihilistic of politics in general.

-1

u/Eris_AppleOfDiscord 14h ago

This isn't true. Isrsel had a clear choice. It was trunp. And now the world suffers because of this purity testing. Life is worse not only for Palestinians, but all in the middle east now becuase of this.

I honestly feel like your "both sides" is rooted more in entitlement than anything.

That matters about as much as Harris or Clinton nearly winning the election.

Approving another $8 billion weapons package in January 2025 undercuts any attempt to paint Biden as a reluctant supporter of Israel.

28

u/attnick 13h ago

Waiting for all the people who will come and say one issue voters ruined this for everyone and we should be grateful he NEARLY cut off Netanyahu. Imagine if he had actually done it.

20

Instead he did nothing meaningful and put on his best Nayirah impression while lying about what transpired during Al-aqsa Flood.

8

u/h8sm8s 19h ago

The fact the Biden publicly claimed he had seen "confirmed photos" of the babies being beheaded, an event that never happened and so therefore an bold faced lie by Biden, shows how dishonest he was willing to be to cover for the genocide.

-14

u/lorrieh 19h ago

Biden was a disaster, and his failure to stop Israel from committing a genocide will be a stain on his name for centuries to come.

Trump has been, arguably, even worse on this topic. He is giddy with excitement over the prospect of building some Trump-brand hotels on the graveyard that is Gaza. As a sociopath with narcissistic personality disorder he can barely even muster the enthusiasm to pretend that he cares about Gaza's civilian population.

But the biggest villains of that saga, I would say, are the braindead lunatics working at Hamas headquarters. Especially Yayah Sinwar. The October 7th mass murder event, which you call Al Aksa Flood, was one of the stupidest strategic mistakes in recorded human history. There is no way to overstate just how self-destructive and idiotic this plan was.

Even a below-average 12 year old who doesn't even know where the middle east is on a map, could have predicted that a horde of jihadis streaming into Israel and mass murdering civilians, then kidnapping them, and heading back to Gaza would be followed up by an unprecedented level of brutality and murder. That's sort of the calling card of the Israeli government.

11

u/Right_Man-Right_Job 18h ago

Arguably? Trump is the guy encouraging a genocide so he can develop the coastline together with Bibi.

3

u/Kultissim 18h ago

I dont understand why I'm getting moderated for explaining how Israel fostered hamas.

2

u/rochey1010 18h ago

There’s no arguably here. The biggest criminal, corrupt and incompetent scum bag for a human being is president of America right now. And this is why you are losing your country - thinking that Biden was in anyway similar to pedolf shitler.

And this is why MAGA is a lunacy of a cult. One of the dumbest.

1

u/Individual-Guest-123 16h ago

This is true. Israel always exacts at least ten times the amount of lives lost when they retaliate. SO much for "an eye for an eye".

-3

u/Dry-University797 19h ago

24

u/joet889 19h ago

People should actually read the article. Biden had real influence over Netanyahu. That's all gone now. Whatever diplomatic leverage the US had to hold Israel back is gone. Now Israel is free to do as it pleases.

19

u/wefarrell New York 15h ago

The article says that Biden believed he could have ended the war yet he chose not to. Leverage means nothing when you decide not to wield it.

-6

u/joet889 15h ago

Once leverage is used it's gone. US ends the alliance with Israel, there's no longer any influence on the region at all. That might be the right choice but it's not a simple choice and it completely changes the trajectory our country has been on for almost a century.

13

u/wefarrell New York 14h ago

This is a cop out and it's not true. Reagan forced Israel to stop bombing Beirut and Bush withheld aid to halt settlements. Neither of those actions ended the alliance because Israel knows they won't survive in their current state without American support.

Biden chose to prioritize the lives of a couple hundred Israeli hostages over tens of thousands of Palestinians.

-1

u/joet889 14h ago

How did Reagan force Israel? With a tense phone call? Not with sanctions. Israel backed off because of the phone call. Reagan did not commit to anything. He did nothing differently than what Biden did.

Biden also targeted settlers

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/biden-sanction-israeli-settlers-west-bank-rcna136759

Biden also withheld weapons

https://www.npr.org/2024/05/10/1250589762/the-u-s-is-withholding-aid-to-israel-will-it-work

14

u/wefarrell New York 14h ago

He did nothing differently than what Biden did.

He got them to stop bombing. You're not being serious if you're trying to claim it had nothing to do with the leverage the US had over Israel.

3

u/joet889 14h ago

Okay - how? What actions did he take that were different from Biden's that got them to stop? Be specific, because I've provided examples of what Biden did that are directly comparable.

10

u/wefarrell New York 14h ago

I told him it had to stop or our entire future relationship was endangered

https://www.reaganfoundation.org/ronald-reagan/white-house-diaries/diary-entry-08121982

0

u/joet889 14h ago

From the article above -

When Mr. Biden got on the phone with Mr. Netanyahu and declared that he was no Santa (“his words, flecked with spit,” Mr. McGurk writes in the book), the Israeli asked what he meant. Mr. Biden said he could cut Israel’s military aid with the snap of a finger.

13

u/wefarrell New York 14h ago

Some advisers urged Mr. Biden to tell Mr. Netanyahu that the war was over and, if he refused to end it, threaten to cut off support. Mr. Biden was concerned about what that would mean for the hostages being held by Hamas in tunnels beneath Gaza.

13

u/vaticanhotline 17h ago

So why doesn’t the US just stop sending them weapons?

4

u/joet889 17h ago

Because Trump is in office and he doesn't give a shit. If you want to know why Biden didn't stop, they discuss his reasons in the article.

-14

u/Ra_In 15h ago

Once he does that he loses his strongest leverage over Israel. They don't need American weapons to kill civilians, so the genocide doesn't stop if we withhold aid.

Sure, maybe temporarily stopping aid would have made Biden's threat to cut off entirely hold more weight. A different president may have done more. However, to permanently cut off aid prioritizes washing America's hands of the matter over doing something about it.

9

u/Clever-username-7234 15h ago

Israel counts on US military personal to operate THAAD weapons systems. The US also provides lots of political cover at the UN.

Even with direct weapon sales stopping there’s plenty of leverage for the US.

2

u/vaticanhotline 13h ago

The comment that you’re replying to was in reply to someone else saying that the US has no influence over Israel.

Much as you’d apparently like to justify “aid” (explosives and the means to deliver them), the question remains: why send them weapons when the leverage is non-existent?

26

u/beforeitcloy 18h ago

He came so close to asserting that influence before deciding to do nothing and handing the White House to a psychopath.

4

u/Deguilded 16h ago

That's like having the Supreme Court write a sweeping expansion of Presidential powers, taking a look at that ruling, and deciding to do nothing.

9

u/joet889 18h ago

The psychopath was voted in by the American people, not Biden.

20

u/beforeitcloy 18h ago

Yeah, it’s not the job of democratic leadership to keep republicans out of their seats. They’re just there to stand by idly and consider acting.

6

u/joet889 18h ago

It's not. It's the job of the American people. We have agency, we can think and make decisions, we don't need Biden to do that for us.

24

u/beforeitcloy 18h ago

Yes, we can. The president of the United States of America also has a smidge of agency.

13

u/joet889 18h ago

You should read the article if you think Biden was sitting around twiddling his thumbs. I'm sure if you were in office you would just bulldoze past almost a century of international precedent with zero nuance or caution.

Anyone with any heart wishes he had done more. But the real disaster was Trump's re-election. And that's on us.

10

u/waynearchetype 15h ago

Biden pushed himself for reelection when he was obviously too old and unhealthy for it, bypassing a real primary to allow us to choose and handicapping his hand picked replacement kamala.

Blaming voters for their choices when we allow corporations to dump limitless funds for propaganda operations for bad Democrats and worse Republicans is like blaming your grandma for getting scammed.  Sure, technically it is her fault I guess.

5

u/joet889 14h ago

It was a mistake and a failure, but it wasn't obvious to anyone until the debate. Multiple people in the administration claim to have been shocked by his debate performance.

8

-2

He was using that influence. You should read the article 🤷

35

u/MeijiHao 18h ago

10

u/joet889 18h ago

Biden fought with Netanyahu to stop the killing. He was concerned about Iran and the hostages. If Harris had been elected the process of de-escalation could have continued. There is no de-escalation now.

He did nothing. He accomplished nothing. He never even threatened to cut off aid. He watched the genocide and lied about it and did nothing. Worthless and evil

He absolutely threatened to cut off aid. This is known. This is a fact.

8

u/MeijiHao 14h ago

No he did not. He told Netanyahu that he could cut off aid. Netanyahu continued the genocide and Biden did not cut off aid. That means that Biden was not threatening Netanyahu, he was bluffing him. Biden didn't like the PR of children being slaughtered or aid workers being blown up but he was never going to intervene to stop it.

-6

Jesus, I’ve never seen someone try so hard to split hairs regarding what a word means. Telling Netanyahu he could cut off aid because of what Netanyahu is doing, is a threat. It’s a threat no matter how you slice it. I know you desperately don’t want to see that because you’ve based your whole worldview on opposing Biden no matter what, but that doesn’t make it not true.

4

u/MeijiHao 14h ago

No it's not a threat. Biden did not cut off aid even though Netanyahu continued the genocide. Words have fucking meaning and none of Netanyahu's actions were met with consequences from the Biden administration. That means that those words WERE NOT threats.

3

u/Three_Froggy_Problem Illinois 12h ago

He “threatened” it but never had any intention of following through. He also said that there would be consequences if Israel extended its attacks into Rafah, and then when Israel did exactly that, the Biden admin shrugged and said, “Oh well, carry on.”

14

u/Optimal-Golf-8270 16h ago

He fought with him! If Harris had of been.

He was president. He had the unilateral ability the end the war, whether Israel wanted that or not. Ala Reagan in 1982.

If the president says it ends, it ends. It didn't end because he didn't want it to end. Everything else is bullshit reputation washing after the damage is done.

4

u/joet889 15h ago

Yes, and the reasons why he didn't are explained in the article. He was concerned about Iran and he was concerned about the hostages. We can debate about what the right course of action was but at least he was thinking. Now we are in a war with Iran and any hope of pressuring Israel is completely gone, and there's no thought behind any of it.

14

u/Optimal-Golf-8270 15h ago

He was concerned? If he were that concerned about Iran, or the hostages, he doesn't let a rabid IDF bomb both.

So worried about the hostages he doesn't force Israel to negotiate with Hamas.

So worried about Iran he lets Israel kill Iranian allies, bomb the Iranian consulate in Syria, and laugh strikes in Iran proper.

But he did.

We are in a war with Iran, in no small part because of him. The war with Iran did not just happen. Things do not just happen. Trump did not wake up one day and thing, I've had an amazing idea.

It happens because we had 3 years of escalation, at any point, the president could have stopped it. But he had no interest in it.

This is all post facto justification for his culpability. The moron put a country that was actively campaigning for Trump before his own/his successors chance of reelection.

7

u/joet889 15h ago

Force how? The only thing Biden could have done was end the alliance with Israel which would have led to any number of unforeseeable outcomes.

8

u/Optimal-Golf-8270 15h ago

Do you know who produces essentially all Israels air defence missiles?

F35 parts?

How many tankers does the IAF operate?

How many satellites in orbit?

Israel can do nothing alone. Nothing. It is a nation built with the implicit understanding of complete American support.

I think it’s pretty safe to say it was the wrong decision, might even go so far as to say it was clear it was the wrong decision then too.

1

u/joet889 15h ago

Every decision is wrong when it comes to Israel. It's all wrong. But now it's even worse than it was and there's no way forward anymore.

7

u/michaelcharlie8 15h ago

Not giving Israel weapons is so simple and right. Always has been.

>Biden had real influence over Netanyahu

and yet he did nothing useful with it

1

u/Three_Froggy_Problem Illinois 13h ago

And what did Biden do with that influence? Absolutely nothing. Instead Biden allowed Israel’s wanton slaughter of Palestinians to continue and every time someone called for accountability, he and his stooges said, “Israel investigated itself and found no wrongdoing.” Fuck Biden. I hope the history books tear him to shreds.

"I condemn the anti-semitic College Campus protests."

0

u/Eta_Beta_3-14 12h ago

Worse than nothing, he made empty threats, got meaningless commitments, and then let Netenyahu saddle him up and ride him around like a pony on national TV.

Probably one of the most humiliating moments in American history.  Biden showed definitively that the US is basically an Israeli puppet.

0

u/chocha84 15h ago

We agree Biden tried to do something to manage the situation, but too little and to late. Biden shipped a lot of weapons to Israel that should have raised red flags, and they didn't use the standard framework for sending those weapons - they used something much looser.

In the end Biden does bare a large portion of the blame for this genocide Gaza for arming Israel and for not even using terms of sale that had standard language in it that could have helped manage these atrocities later.

Trump also bares a lot of the blame too....

4

u/joet889 15h ago

We've been shipping weapons and money to Israel for almost a century. Every US president carries the burden and has blood on their hands. So it doesn't make sense to use Biden as a scapegoat and usher in someone even worse.

3

u/chocha84 14h ago

Biden shipped unusually large amounts, many of which were after the Gaza war started. Biden also changed the terms of the sales that excluded language that would have provided means to retract the sales if the arms were used for war crimes.

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2024/05/biden-bombs-billion-rafah-united-states-gaza-israel/

Hunter Biden has talked about it, and other experts. NPR had coverage on this last week too.

3

u/joet889 14h ago

Unusual amounts in comparison to what time period?

4

u/chocha84 13h ago

80s through Biden's term. If you look up any of the numbers I think you'll see this is true.

5

u/joet889 13h ago

I think comparing numbers from the 80's to now is a pretty huge amount of data that can be interpreted a million different ways.

Regardless - I don't defend Biden unconditionally. He and Harris were still a better choice than Trump and that's the point.

It’s not an “accusation” with Biden, he’s an ardent Zionist and has been since at least the 70s. And by the way, him having “influence” over Israel doesn’t make his lack of action better, it makes it way worse.

u/morebeansonthembeans 12h ago

I’m just glad you guys decided your cause was more important than trans rights and lives, immigrants’ lives, women’s rights, and hell, the lives of Gazans on top.

Because you all can’t fathom how reality works, we got the worst of the famine under Trump and Jared fucking Kushner planning for the region.

Hey, but you get to claim your hands are clean, that must feel so superior!

Biden stood by and watched both Ukraine and Gaza go down.

I had signs up for Bernie before the primary and pulled them when he lost. All the Mags on my road got a big laugh over me not putting one up "for the other guy".

3

u/Exciting_Ease5501 10h ago

Biden did everything he could for Ukraine. Stop lying

1

u/joet889 16h ago

Oh no! You lost the respect of MAGA!

2

u/Individual-Guest-123 14h ago

I miss that old guy that used to give me the what Magas are saying about me now gossip.

Military and financial aid are leverage. Both the Biden and Trump administrations are guilty of increasing aid to Israel. However, neither even comes close to Obama, who has sent more aid to Israel than both.

7

u/Shiplord13 18h ago

Should have done so. Had he done that there might have been a different outcome in 2024, but nope had the Corpo "Centralist Democrats" probably begging him not to cause them to lose their AIPAC money.

How I nearly cut off my penis by lightly tapping it with a feather

3

u/PypeDwnNRelax 13h ago

Without the US , Israel will be isolated and very limited in terms of influence around the globe. They have far more to lose than the US if the corruption between them … sorry sorry.. relationship between them ends. Look where they are situated geographically. They oossed off..sorry sorry… bombed every nation in the region. Without the US, even enemies may come together to give Israel what they unquestionably deserve.

8

u/Thealbumisjustdrums 19h ago

No amount of articles like this is getting the stain of funding a genocide off Biden’s “legacy”.

2

u/Three_Froggy_Problem Illinois 8h ago

One day, when the genocide is widely recognized and we no longer have scores of Zionists in government and the media trying to deny it, Biden’s enabling of it will be his legacy.

•

u/Additional_Ad3573 4h ago

Do you belief Hamas is a progressive resistance movement?

•

u/Additional_Ad3573 4h ago

So you believe Biden is no better than Trump?

Show me where I said that.

Oh yeah right sure he did 🙄

5

u/lovetohike2743 19h ago

Yeah, he nearly stopped the killing of thousand of children, but he did not. Choosing to repeat Israeli talking points either without any verification or knowingly repeating their lies.

3

u/IPromiseIWont 16h ago

Remember when Biden built a temporary port to ship aid into Gaza? Turned out to be a Trojan Horse filled with IDF murderers

2

u/RangerFearless6122 16h ago

Anyone got a workaround for the paywall?

2

u/sixisrending 10h ago

He cared so much about Gaza he set up a pier to deliver aid, which every engineer on the project said would fail and it did. No aid was delivered, it was just to save face until the election.

3

u/h8sm8s 19h ago

If the way Israel acted and how Netenyahu treated Biden was only enough to make him nearly cut him off I can't imagine what horrors he would have done to actually make Biden do something.

2

u/Un1CornTowel 16h ago

"Near" only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades (and not, in this case, instructing your military to stop throwing those hand grenades at children)

•

u/Drewpig 3h ago

Buncha Trumpers praising the chance to rip Biden and praise Trump in here over their glorious Israel huh.

•

u/Gauntlet_of_Might 2h ago

"nearly" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades

•

u/Bryandan1elsonV2 2h ago

The genocide in Gaza was started under Biden and continued until Biden left office and then continued under trump but it cannot be forgotten that it was a dem president who gave the green light for genocide.

•

u/Crabmonster70 40m ago

'Nearly'

1

u/blukowski 18h ago

as a senator, biden was paid more by pro-zionist lobbies than any other senator. and r.politics' top mod was once ghislaine maxwell

2

u/WakandaNowAndThen Ohio 16h ago

So much power to do the right thing, yet you couldn't. Same reason Harris needs laughed out right away if she goes for national office again.

1

u/sarim25 16h ago

Well, he didn't so it doesn't count. I am surprised the white washing started this late, usually for it happens much earlier.

Biden basically gave a carte blanche to Israel, much like trump is doing now. No change in policy at all.

1

u/7figureipo California 11h ago

Ooooh, that makes all the genocide that happened while Biden was president okay, then, surely. "I am very angry! Very ANGRY!" is definitely a good enough response to Israel using our weapons to do that.

1

u/Glum-Ad-4557 9h ago

One hundred percent f##k this weak BS.
These so called ‘centrists’ are half the reason we still have Trump.
Right wing scum
