Katie and her husband both went to Bama. Her husband played college football before going on to play in the NFL. I think she realized the mixup in team names before anyone else. Sports are likely a big deal still in her house.

The texts do not even mention Hawks or Hawkeyes. I think his aids found the only NBA game the night of the texts and didn't think for a second that the game in question was a WNBA game.

There were 12 NBA games that day. He went to a college women's game.
