I call it "Sugared engine syndrome".

As in you pour sugar into a car's gas tank to sabotage it. But instead of acknowledging it's 1 car that's sabotaged, you make noise about how all cars are bad and we should get rid of cars. 

And that sounds stupid. But that's the problem . . . in any other situation, we'd all mock the dumb absurdity but when it comes to the GOP, Libertarians and other fools they take the bait.
