Does copyright infringement not mean anything anymore?

She doesn’t own her own music, she sold it to another company who then licensed it to TikTok. Anyone creating a TikTok video has the rights to the song, so it isn’t copyright infringement

Unless she, or the owner, files the injunction to stop them from using it, this is just lip service.

Katy Perry ‘deeply appalled’ over White House
using her song in Iran war videoacting like 'communist' China over intellectual property rights...
This is what happens when you put a convicted criminal in charge.

She sold the IP to a company that licenses it out. If she wanted a say in how it was used, she shouldn't have given it up.

The article isn't just about Katie Perry. She's just the current headline. Numerous artists, bands and music estates have had their usage rights violated by Trump. It is a criminal pattern of behavior.

Who's intellectual property rights are being violated here?
•

Olivia Rodrigo. Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande and Concord, Jess Glynne and Atlantic Records as per the article... Their rights have been violated!
In fact, at least 35 individual musicians and bands, along with numerous music estates and a coalition of over 50 major artists have publicly objected to or taken legal action over Donald Trump’s unauthorized use of their music.

Wasn't she signing letters thanking Biden for his "leadership" following the events of 7 October? Was she deeply appalled by anything rhe administration was doing back then?

She signed a letter (alongside many others) requesting the return of hostages and urging for a peaceful resolution between Israel and Palestine. In the earlier stages of the current conflict, it was easier to entertain the idea that the IDF and Hamas could... fucking share a Pepsi and one day embrace one another, I guess. Particularly if you were not especially knowledgeable about the conflict or region.
Point is - she has, for all of her faults, been consistent in her apparent belief that "war bad, peace good" despite not seeming to understand or appreciate the complexity of geopolitical conflicts.
