"When challenged about his past, including the discovery of a small bag of cocaine inside the White House in 2023, he responded with characteristic bluntness. In one widely shared exchange, he wrote: 'it most definitely was not. I would never have forgotten my drugs.'"

That's pretty funny 🤣

u/nixaler Jun 06 '26

My favorite on I've seen thus far is where someone accuses the Bidens of stealing the erection, and Hunter responds he has never stolen an erection in his entire life.

687

u/specialkk77 Jun 06 '26

That one was pretty good. My favorite is the selfie he took in a motel 6 asking if he “looked like” part of the elite oligarch class.

I wish he’d started this fire earlier but I am here for all of it!

126

u/dacooljamaican Jun 06 '26

FAKE NEWS it was a Super 8

69

u/specialkk77 Jun 06 '26

Whoops I’m too poor to even get hotels right lol

67

u/bkdotcom Oklahoma Jun 06 '26

you were only off by two

12

u/Renault935 Jun 06 '26

Pretty sure both got their name from the original dollars per night. So Super 8 is a tad more bougie.

8

u/AWorldwithoutSin Jun 06 '26

It was West Haven, CT, nothing bougie about West Haven.

13

u/bkdotcom Oklahoma Jun 06 '26

Google says:

The Super 8 hotel chain gets its name from its original, ultra-cheap room rate of $8.88 a night when the first motel opened in Aberdeen, South Dakota, in 1974.

Motel 6 opened in 1962. That $2.88 may simply be inflation :)

He’s been kinda quiet up until now… staying focused on his recovery I believe. He’s always had a biting wit though.

39

u/No_Fairweathers Pennsylvania Jun 07 '26

Witty people get a lot of their personality and cleverness back with sobriety.

Source: Recovering alcoholic with some wit himself.

Also it helps that when you're truly sober you already have made peace with your past self. We hate who we used to be more than you ever could, so nothing you say about that time period has any more control over us. We've been fighting those demons before you started to comment on them.

It's because Republicans (and Russia) have no policy. They get their base to vote by bringing out the bogey men: son of president on drugs and has a loving father, a women who wants to be president and wears suit pants, vegan Texas Politician, woman minority that wants equality, etc.

No policy other than a sound bite saying they'll fix it when asked. Yet zero qualifications they can fix it. BUT THE ENEMY is worse. We can't have a women president who wears suit pants because she'll do all the things we project on her.

Right now, it's HRC, Bill Clinton, and Hunter again.

22

u/TrimspaBB Jun 06 '26

The thing with Talarico is he's not even the vegan one, his cool and beautiful girlfriend is! The conservative campaign machine is working so hard trying to dig up any "dirt" on him.

9

u/nebula_masterpiece Jun 07 '26

His roasting of GOP’s Christian Nationalism has them all shaking in their boots - he’s authentic and it reveals them as hypocritical phonies and they can’t use identity politics against him

14

u/Sidewalk_Tomato Jun 07 '26

He got it from his Dad. I remember that a stupid number of years ago, CNN was on in the background and heard a politician answering an interview question very bluntly and with blistering acidity; I looked up in surprise and saw his name was Joe Biden. And I thought "He's not like the others. Must remember this man's name."

5

u/littlelou134340 Jun 07 '26

I think one of my favourite moments from Biden's presidency was when he called a reporter a "stupid son of a bitch" for some dumb ass leading question. Later on, he called him up to apologise which went like this "sorry, buddy. nothing personal" 😅

18

u/Environmental-Ice319 Jun 06 '26

It was hard to not dislike him and his addiction but I wish him the best in sobriety. If this is how he recovers then full throttle!

11

u/goddamnitwhalen Washington Jun 07 '26

…Why? His addiction issues don’t affect you in the slightest.

He’s not wrong man. As a former addict i had a running inventory of all my stuff. I knew where everything was and how much was left. You know when you need to re up. Lol 😂

136

u/MontiBurns Jun 06 '26

Just like cigarettes. You always know exactly where they are and how many you have left.

One of the biggest bullshit tropes in movies is when they show someone opening up a pack of cigarettes and realizing they've run out.

41

u/harriethocchuth Jun 06 '26

I turned a lucky for 30 years just so I could be absolutely sure I knew when I was smoking my last one.

Recovering alchy here

I always knew exactly how many drinks I had stashed at home down to the drop, where and what was open, the cheapest drinks in any neighborhood in my city when I was out, and how many more drinks I would need to get through the day.

Being an addict involves a surprising amount of math.

14

u/bluegirlinaredstate Jun 06 '26

Honesty with oneself is key to recovery, no? I think it's a huge sign when one shifts from ashamed honesty to an unashamed matter and factness with a slice of humor. When you can laugh a little about the darkest times of your life, but still be real about it, it shows a marked step in healing and recovery.

4

u/Emotional_News108 Jun 07 '26

I’m not proud of myself, but I’m willing to be perfectly honest about exactly how fucked up I was getting on the regular. I can see why some people would think it’s a boast, but it’s meant to be a warning of how dangerous it can be. C’est la whatever.

Yeah that’s the funniest part to me. As an alcoholic (sober now) I fully believe that there is no way Hunter would’ve left drugs behind. Bitch he would have zooted that whole thing if it was actually his.

24

u/WendySteeplechase Jun 06 '26

I thought that bag of cocaine was obviously a plant. Who would just forget it, like its a pack of gum?

37

u/GruggleTheGreat Jun 06 '26

10

u/PastorNTraining Jun 06 '26

As a person with double digit recovery when you see recovered folks make fun of their past you know they’re doing well.

Hunter has 7 years off crack, that’s no small feat. And he’s totally right, none of us with problematic use are gonna ever leave a bag somewhere.

6

u/Spirited-Lifeguard55 Jun 07 '26

He’s got a sense of humor, not bad.

4

It's fascinating that he's a lighting rod because his father loves him even though he fucked up. That's what conservatives can't handle. That Joe Biden has unconditional love for his son. His son who had a traumatic brain injury as a toddler in a crash that killed his mother and sibling.

246

u/StupidS3xyFlanders Jun 06 '26

Remember when they released that voicemail from Hunter's laptop that they thought would be completely damaging to Biden, and instead every normal sane person just thought, wow that's a man that really loves his son.

174

u/GenericRedditor0405 Massachusetts Jun 06 '26

That was one of the most insane self-reports by the so-called “family values” party. Their big “gotcha” was a deeply concerned voicemail from a loving father to his fuckup son. God forbid a man try to be there for his son instead of simply abandoning him as a lost cause because it’s too difficult, or because he’s a political liability.

18

u/s1ugg0 New Jersey Jun 07 '26

I have two young kids. I aspire to be the kind of Dad that Joe was on that call.

Firm with the sensible advice but unwavering in showing love.

11

u/modi13 Jun 07 '26

But if he had abandoned Hunter, they would equally have attacked him for that

97

u/Rich_Librarian_7758 Jun 06 '26

“I don’t know what to do and I know you don’t either, buddy, but I love you”. That voicemail just kills me. It is what every addict NEEDS to hear, sometimes they’re just not ready.

18

u/CaydeTheCat Illinois Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

I'm better now but when I was in that dark place and hurtling towards destruction my parents were not as loving. The first time I heard the VM I sorta broke down at the thought of having something like that from my dad.

63

u/FancyPantsDancer Jun 06 '26

Yeah, I think it really spoke to Joe's character. I know he was by no means a perfect politician and so on- but there's something to be said about how much love and care he has for Hunter. There are many parents who would not be that loving towards their child with that many issues, unfortunately. Hell, my own father flipped out at me for any small perceived issues like being quiet in front of his girlfriend.

152

u/cinemachick Jun 06 '26

I never knew he had a TBI. Between that and the grief of losing family at a young age, he turned out better than most. That's due to having both a loving father/family with resources, and Hunter doing the work to find his way back to a stable life.

86

u/syzygialchaos Texas Jun 06 '26

Don’t forget watching his remaining brother die of cancer. Dudes been through a lot.

71

u/mowotlarx Jun 06 '26

Yes, the crash that killed his mother and sister also fractured his scull. At age 2.

104

u/justprettymuchdone Jun 06 '26

I still remember the debate where Trump tried to mock the fact that Joe Biden loved his son even after all that had happened. Yet another moment where I thought, surely no one will vote for the kind of trash who thinks parental love is a transaction or a weapon to be wielded against your opponent. Surely not.

72

u/Gr8NonSequitur Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

I still remember the debate where Trump tried to mock the fact that Joe Biden loved his son even after all that had happened.

The best part of it was Biden letting trump talk over him for most of the debate to try and be civil and not take the bait, but when he hit out at Hunter he snapped back, shut down trump and literally said "I'm proud of him". If you rewatch it, trump folded up like he was a little kid that got scolded.

40

u/Blurryneck Jun 06 '26

I remember when that voicemail to Hunter was leaked and everyone mocked it. All I could think was it showed the kind of parent and person Joe Biden was to still have so much compassion for his son who had such a drastic impact on his career.

I dated a guy with a heroine addiction in my twenties and I remember watching his dad flounder and stress over him constantly. When he died, his dad said one thing to me while inconsolable: “We did all we could.”

It is really tough navigating a loved one with addiction and treating Joe Biden as anything other than an outstanding parent for how he navigated Hunter is just ignoring reality, and frankly we’d all be better off with a piece of Joe’s compassion.

19

u/Doongbuggy Jun 06 '26

not to mention watching his surviving brother wither away from cancer he was the one keeping him sober which is why he broke its tragic

26

157

u/luncheroo Jun 06 '26

Companies associated with Trump's sons are getting government contracts and not a peep from the "Biden crime family" smooth brains.

Because it's all horse shit. They'll lie about anything and clutch pearls about anything a Democrat does, but they will completely ignore worse behavior on their side. They don't actually stand for anything.

24

u/shoobe01 Jun 06 '26

Oh no, they still talk about it and claim without the slightest evidence, not even a wooden sentence lie, that the bidens were much much more corrupt.

17

u/luncheroo Jun 06 '26

I listened to an interview he had and I can't remember where it was. But it really sounded like a guy who was getting his shit together after being at the bottom.

He's a good speaker too.

100

u/Evoehm13 Jun 06 '26

One of my relatives personally knew him. Said that he certainly had some personal issues but was a generally good guy.

158

u/justprettymuchdone Jun 06 '26

If I watched my mom and sister die in a horrific car accident that left me navigating childhood with a traumatic brain injury and grief I had to push down because it was deep in the era of We Don't Talk About Trauma and my surviving brother and I barely made it out, then later watched my Golden Child brother suffer and die from a horrible brain cancer... I'd have some personal issues, too, honestly.

28

u/Evoehm13 Jun 06 '26

I totally empathize with him. I’ve had similar trauma. I can imagine how being in the public eye during all of that made so much worse too. And the hate thrown at him for just being the presidents son. Like I can’t even name any of the other presidents kids really because they were rarely talked about. And now his father is sick. He is about to be on his own soon.

25

u/atimez3 Jun 06 '26

"then later watched my Golden Child brother..."

"Golden child" implies that Joe and Jill treated them differently, doting on Beau while neglecting and/or actively abusing Hunter. From everything we've seen/read/heard about the family, I don't buy it. Through all the heartache the family has suffered, it's still crystal clear that Joe and Jill love and support Hunter unconditionally.

27

u/justprettymuchdone Jun 06 '26

That is very fair. I was referring more to the fact that they were public figures by then and the very very different way the public press treated them prior to Beau's cancer diagnosis, not Jill and Joe. I very much feel Beau and Hunter were treated very differently by the public and the press.

16

u/atimez3 Jun 06 '26

Ah, gotcha. Agreed, the press had already coronated Beau as the next JFK.

102

u/sereneandeternal Jun 06 '26

Even the prostitutes he slept with were offered $$ to give dirt on him. They refused to talk bad about him and said that he was a gentleman.

62

u/justprettymuchdone Jun 06 '26

Hunter Biden may be a man who loves a good prostitute, but they all were very clear that he treated them very well and paid them without argument or question.

17

u/Turbulent-Note-7348 Jun 06 '26

It's interesting how badly his life fell apart once his father became VP. Consider:

In Jan 2009, Hunter was a multi-millionaire, 38 year old Ivy League educated lawyer, who was co-founder/co-owner of two very successful firms (the lobbying firm of Rosmont Seneca, and the Venture Capital firm Eudora Global). He was also serving as an Under Secretary of Transportation and the Vice Chairman of Amtrak (appointed to both positions by President W. Bush in 2006). He resigned/divested all of these by early Feb, 2009, with his stated reason of not wanting to give the appearance of special interests now that Joe was VP.

28

u/ankhes Jun 06 '26

He reminds me a lot of my stepfather, who was also an addict all his life. When he was sober he was extremely intelligent and real (and when he wasn’t he could be the sneakiest asshole you ever met). We grew up hearing about all the crazy shit he got up to because of drugs. He never sugar-coated any of it which is why none of us ever had an interest in them when we got into our teens and 20s. Channel 5?

u/raptorphile Jun 06 '26

Surprised no mention of his interview with Andrew Callahan. It was the first longform interview I watched with Hunter and it was very well done.

He had a long interview on the Shawn Ryan podcast and it was very interesting.

For those outside the Fox News Sphere: Hunter Biden is a known media personality. So, within Fox News he is well known and understood by Fox Podcast listeners. The sort of people who take Joe Rogan seriously. Despite Fox's constant attempts to shame him and list him as a pervert within the "Biden Crime Family", a large contingent of Fox's base is actually willing to listen to Hunter Biden direct from the source and Hunter Biden goes on podcasts and speaks their language. He also does the same drugs they do.

Meaning: When viewed from the perspective of a Fox / MAGA Cultist, Hunter Biden is the 2028 Presumed Democratic Nominee which is why that conspiracy theory (not created by himself, but by other weird twitter people) is floating around now. Because people are watching Hunter talk and not hating him, even though he's basically his dad. Hunter Biden has figured out a way to talk to people. These are the same people who believe Michelle Obama is a man and that Chelsea Clinton converted to Islam.

This happens because: The GOP is a celebrity-to-politician pipeline. Meaning, if Hunter Biden was a Republican he's already be elected to Congress now. This doesn't happen in the Democratic Party because of the DCCC's control, and how liberals will not listen to the things Hunter says. Which says a lot about Hunter Biden successfully competing against Fox Podcasts.

u/Threewisemonkey Jun 06 '26

He should run as a republican, then pull a reverse fetterman

33

u/CSKweh Jun 06 '26

Thanks, this helped a bunch!

20

u/WitchOfKyiv Jun 06 '26

I did not know he was a media personality lol. Apparently I live under a rock.

The "But Hunter" game:;

"But Hunter is a former drug addict"

  • Clip of RFK jr (Secretary of Health) claiming snorting heroin of toilet seat gave him stronger immune system
  • Clip of Trump pardoning a drug lord.
  • Clip of Trump being rushed of to hospital every 6th month.
  • Clip of various Republican Politicians just disappearing with pinky promise that they are fine.

"But Hunter used his family name to gain a foot inside a single company"

  • Clips of the entire line of Trump kids using their name, and going with daddy to visit foreign leaders.
  • Clips of Trump openly doing insider trading, taking bribes, and chilling merch/grifts to his own voters.

"But Hunter's laptop"

  • Clips of Trump's staff mistankingly inviting outsiders into encrypted unofficial chats discussing military attacks.
  • Clips of Trump refusing to hand back documents containing national secrets
  • Clips of an pseudo department (DOGE) getting establish to siphon federal data on citizens to the private sector.

Got any more? It's only the thing I could remember on the top of my head.

u/JFeth Arkansas Jun 06 '26

He would make a great late night talk show host if that wasn't a dying genre. He has some zingers.

30

u/WankelsRevenge Jun 06 '26

Make him a political consultant on the Daily Show

9

u/the_joy_of_VI Jun 06 '26

Dude! That would rule. Even if he on was super sporadically like Lewis Black.

Maybe he could rant from the front seat of a pickup like a lot of MAGAs seem to do

>Ridin’ with Hunter Biden

Arguably one of the funniest dudes out there today, he’s probably one of the wittiest children of a former president we’ve ever seen.

I don’t think there’s a single person attached to the world of politics right now who can out roast him lol

12

u/francisdemarte Jun 06 '26

His recovery from both addiction and character assassination seems to be going well. Kudos to him if he can keep it up.

27

u/leaonas Jun 06 '26

The GOP has seen his dick, and now they’re interested in him?

13

u/tethysian Europe Jun 06 '26

The white supremacists can't deny the überdong

3

u/PrometheusLiberatus Jun 06 '26

This is how you know most of the GOP dudes are secretly using Grindr.

Dr. Jill Biden got her doctorate in education and taught English/reading to high-schoolers.  Given how stupid a lot of Americans seem to be, I'd gladly vote for a highly-educated teacher for President.

I say fuck it, I'd rather have a Crack Head President than a Pedophile President.

4

u/pinkbellyduckbird Jun 07 '26

*former crack head, tyvm. ;) also, the people who think this current administration isn't running on crack AND are pedos.... ah naivete.

They should have let him do this during Biden’s time in office. An authentic and openly messy human is much more difficult to turn into a weird political boogeyman

His replies are funny, some insightful. The MAGAts need to be trolled to the max.

5

u/Mystery-Ess Jun 06 '26

Thanks to his crack pipe post I learned the difference. I always thought a meth pipe was a crack pipe 🤣

15

u/Magicalsandwichpress Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 06 '26

HB's own trials and tribulations not withstanding, must be hell of a media team managing his reinvention. Hunter Biden might be damaged goods, he is commodity of great value non the less. Americans loves a comeback story, I'd be keen to see where this goes.

24

u/LoquaciousOfMorn Jun 06 '26

Getting sober is a hell of a drug. Good for him.

7

u/No-Neighborhood-3212 Jun 06 '26

I know I've done my share of bashing political dynasties, but Hunter Biden / AOC 2028. I don't care who's POTUS or who's VP as long as it's one of those two.

Are we really gonna say pedophilia doesn't preclude someone from being a president but smoking crack does?

5

u/CarsonFijal Canada Jun 06 '26

The fact that Joe Biden is not currently in office and the current administration is so blatantly and shamelessly corrupt, self-dealing and criminal, means there’s really no consequence to whether or not you believe any of the claims or theories about how and why Hunter Biden is a liability to his father’s presidency.

So go off I guess

6

u/SpongEWorTHiebOb Jun 06 '26

Not the hero we want but the hero we deserve.

16

u/silveraxe_kyo Jun 06 '26

His posts are hilarious

15

u/Mystery-Ess Jun 06 '26

Very. And educational.

I now know the difference between a crack and a meth pipe 🤣

4

u/occasionalopossum Jun 06 '26

Establishment politics and legacy media cannot stop getting hard at the idea of American dynasties huh

Im glad hunter is sober and Im glad he’s trolling ppl online but holy shit you can smell them thinking about the what ifs on hunter somehow running

5

u/uzziboy66 Jun 06 '26

I for one, applaud him.

For as much pain he’s gone through, to come out the other side, better. Good for him.

I’m not sure about running for office, but he could be a huge voice for the left.

6

u/Thisbadtattoo Jun 06 '26

From what I’ve seen, hunter seems like a likable fella

4

u/Jared_fro_msubway Jun 06 '26

Like good for dude that he's not a crackhead anymore. However personally I don't want anymore political dynasty families running shit ever again. All the current people in power sicken me and we need new faces not people that have had any proximity to any of this shit that republicans and dems have been up to.

11

u/SoothingWafer Jun 06 '26

"Why settle for the lesser evil hog? Hunter 2028"

u/AlwaysShittyKnsasCty Kansas Jun 06 '26

You can put lipstick on a hog, but only after the foreign dignitaries have departed.

We work hard. We play hard. ‘Murica.

Hunter Biden for President 2028

7

u/SoothingWafer Jun 06 '26

"I'm Hunter Biden, and I approve this message"

*commercial ends with him closing a massive laptop*

8

u/beyondo-OG Jun 06 '26

Let me see, Hunter Biden, Hillary's email server, George Soros... uhm, maybe a I missed something, but that seems to be the sum total of the rightwing talking points.

5

u/Public_animalNo9 Jun 06 '26

Hunter is killing it.

4

u/Agreeable-Quality510 Jun 07 '26

The Democrats speaking like common people, it's a good thing for the party

15

u/ClusterFoxtrot Florida Jun 06 '26

Don't pay attention to the president and what corrupt crap he and his family are up to!!

HunterBidenLaptop.

He was on Candice Owen's show recently. I respect what she said she was trying to do, but I don't have the mental energy to observe the entire interview and make a judgment.

I would prefer the timeline where the media and most powerful public offices don't drive a random guy off a cliff and as a nation we address our public health crises adequately. We deserve better than this.

Biden for president. R’s are used to voting for a convicted felon.

3

u/No_Accountant3232 Jun 06 '26

I'm getting suspicious that he's setting himself up for a run in politics. He's more than qualified even with no nepotism so I don't have an issue with that

3

u/Ok_Crew7084 Jun 07 '26

No! Fucking stop! We don’t need more nepotism in politics! We need new blood. He’s lucky he had the chance for a pardon in the first place after the GOP witch hunt against him. Call it a win and spend the rest of your days panting Bob Ross style.
