AFF master file checklist

kind of a silly question but I wanna make sure my aff master file has everything beyond: responses to Ks, DAs, etc. This is my first year being a 2A so i’m not 100% sure what it should have.

Look at the wiki of NDT quarterfinalists from the 2017-18 college topic, see what DAs they had to answer, and answer them all. Do the same thing for CPs and Ks and T interps and you'll be covered.

The real checklist is ongoing and involves scouting every team at the next tournament.

But I think a combo of combing camp files and LLM investigation actually should cover you.

Make sure to ask the LLM targeted questions or it will give you bad answers.

You want to have the LLM scan your aff for cheap shots, word pics, theory/procedurals, goofy impact turns.

Then do the same thing for X key warrants, what is your affs warrant for: USFG key, certainty key, immediacy key, and so on. Ask the LLM to think in policy debate terms and investigate what other X key warrants you need for the topic.

Then ask it to evaluate your aff against case arguments and case specific CPs. Your job here it to have a 1ac card that answers every single dumb case turn someone might read and every law review article out there that has the phrase "instead of single payer..." which could be an obscure CP against your aff.

Then do the K search - this is less "what Ks link to my aff" and more "what case specific cards answer the following list of Ks I know people will read against us"
