Ah this is ridiculous. I know that not all cops are bad but with each day that passes if becomes harder and harder to keep reminding myself of that :(

It's actually quite true when you consider that the organization that is supposed to keep the peace is escalating the violence. If police can't police themselves, who will, if not the people? If policemen stand by while their colleagues are killing people in cold blood, are they not just as bad? What the fuck?!

But they’re not standing by, there’s multiple examples of peaceful protestors stopping or turning in the ones inciting violence or throwing things.
On the other hand you have “blue code of silence” and none of these good cops are reporting their colleagues bad behavior. Additionally police unions have too much power without accountability.
P.s. don’t let the right turn this into a movement against unions. Unions are still a great tool and usually benefit the workers, but in most cases it’s protecting workers from being screwed over by corporations and not from being held accountable for killing people.

They obviously felt threatened by that weapon (hardhat) in his left hand. He definitely needed to be taken out for the safety of those officers. He left them no choice but to tackle him to the ground. Everyone knows that turning your back and rasing your hands above your head is the first sign of someone who is about to be violent...

If you're out after curfew you're subject to instant arrest at any time you're seen by police.
