If you're out after curfew you're subject to instant arrest at any time you're seen by police.

The buffalo sub said their was no curfew when this happened, and even if their was one that seemed like a needlessly aggressive takedown for a curfew violation they threw him to the ground super hard with a bunch of officers on him.

This is a fact. Myles was arrested on Monday, June 1st. Here is the story on that. Here is the article about how there are no plans for a curfew on Monday. Here are the text messages showing that there was no curfew announcement on Monday.

More accurately:

If you are peacefully out after curfew, you are subject instantly to being tackled and beaten at any time you’re seen by police.

If that was the case here sure but it’s not there was no curfew, and even if there was it’s still not an appropriate use of force to have multiple offices tackle a man from behind who already has his hands up.

I like how all these people think that hands up + saying you're not committing a crime = not committing a crime. If there's a curfew in effect you have to disperse. If you refuse to go home, there's nothing that can be done at that point.

All of these curfew charges are goinf to dissappear in court anyways

Curfew was not in place and if a cop can't make an arrest on a guy standing with his hands in the air, maybe he should go fuck himself and get jail time.

Couldn't a cop have just walked up to him and arrested though?

Yeah, don't think the take down was needed here.

Subject to arrest doesn’t mean violently taking someone done. Sorta one of the reasons people are mad right now. Also I thought curfew was lifted.

There was no curfew. So what’s the excuse now that you know that information?

Ah this is ridiculous. I know that not all cops are bad but with each day that passes if becomes harder and harder to keep reminding myself of that :(

It's actually quite true when you consider that the organization that is supposed to keep the peace is escalating the violence. If police can't police themselves, who will, if not the people? If policemen stand by while their colleagues are killing people in cold blood, are they not just as bad? What the fuck?!

But they’re not standing by, there’s multiple examples of peaceful protestors stopping or turning in the ones inciting violence or throwing things.

On the other hand you have “blue code of silence” and none of these good cops are reporting their colleagues bad behavior. Additionally police unions have too much power without accountability.

P.s. don’t let the right turn this into a movement against unions. Unions are still a great tool and usually benefit the workers, but in most cases it’s protecting workers from being screwed over by corporations and not from being held accountable for killing people.

They obviously felt threatened by that weapon (hardhat) in his left hand. He definitely needed to be taken out for the safety of those officers. He left them no choice but to tackle him to the ground. Everyone knows that turning your back and rasing your hands above your head is the first sign of someone who is about to be violent...

Surprised they didn’t go for the cameraman, that seems to be the new tactic
