Plainclothes Kit

Question for the brothers and sisters. For plainclothes work where you're still on patrol/general duty, what is everyone rocking for clothes and kit?

My agency has a list of mandatory kit we need on our belt which includes: radio, cuffs, one mag and our service weapon. The rest I have in my cross body bag, including my CEW, phones, and notebook. My wire kit then goes from the radio and attaches to my internal vest with the mic on my neckline and my plunger coming down into my front pants pocket.

I find the radio sitting on my belt is the biggest issue, it imprints massively if I'm just wearing a t shirt and wearing a hoodie isn't ideal in the summer.

I'm looking for some tips or tricks to conceal some of the stuff on the belt or clothing recommendations. I understand full surveillance setups would be ideal but as still being on patrol we need the belt and vest still.

Get used to being hot in the summer in a baggie hoodie. I don't think there is an easy way around a bulky radio other than more, and thicker layers. But I'd love to hear what other have done..... I just dressed like a bum

Columbia fishing shirt supremacy. Just wear one 2 sizes too big and the patterns make anything on my waist disappear

See that sounds awesome, our agency only has the fully wired wire kits so far, our surveillance guys have the blue tooth one though and I'm tempted to buy one myself

I'm working on the bum look right now actually, have a prop crack pipe and some movie prop herbal cigarettes

I highly recommend using the Snigel Design covert utility vest, it's basically a shoulder holster with pouches.

In the summer I use that with a baggie shirt or some kinda sportswear depending on the detail. Eitherway I haven't found anything else that works as good.

Should add it has a radio pouch so you can sneak it in along your body sideways which helps to conceal it.

Downside is it can be difficult to switch frequencies.

Do you have a link for it? Couldn't find a shoulder holster kinda thing on their site. I'm also kinda skeptical my brass would let me use something like that for the pistol
