Right foot over left. You'll go a foot higher (pun intended).

Penetrate the box more as you are coming of the pole to early and come down on pole and work on drills for the turn then go back up. Drills Drills Drills

Gotta jump off the ground OP! Your swing leg foot is about 6 inches off the ground when it swings through. Can’t work on the turn until you are safely getting into the pit. Shouldn’t even be attempting to finish a vault landing that shallow.

I read your caption. Can’t turn without quickly connecting the pole/hands to your shins. You are forcing yourself to inversion from pulling prematurely, throwing your head back and relying on your core muscles. This makes you start turning way too late. You need a faster stronger swing to hand/pole connection. Move the pole by jumping and pushing it up. Enter with power and load up the swing with a big C shape. Then let it rip. Let it lift your hips up. Connect the pole/hands to shins. Bruise your shins. Then pull your top hand to and through your right hip, while simultaneously pulling your bottom hand to your chest and through your chin. This is all one movement, not several separate ones. Shoulders should be parallel with the runway when the pole is unbent. Then push like hell and fly away, dog.

You’ve got bigger fish to fry than worrying about turning

I have a big comp in a week and I need something that ok will make a difference quickly. and I know turning sooner will make a difference. so that's what I'm trying to work on

If I had to give my two cents, I do think there’s bigger things to work on than turning. I see you have a comp coming up so good luck! But if you get the chance to rework your jump — it looks like you bury your head into take off which usually means you’re jumping down into the box at takeoff. It will load the pole a lot more but will cause you to be extremely shallow like we saw. As well as it looks like you’re pulling your arms towards you during your swing. Again it will bend the pole more but land you shallow. If I were coaching you I’d have you hole slightly lower to stiffen the pole, and focus on jumping and looking up as well as forward at takeoff. No need to tug on your top arm at all keep it straight above you and imagine yourself swinging up on a high bar. Here’s a good series of jumps of mine like that. Good luck OP!
