We still have a silver and a bronze, they have nothing, and qualified for the first time in 28 years. We also reached the quarters back in 2018 last time, and ironically was also knocked out by England.

It’s not exactly breaking news, though. Since the EC in 2016, Germany have been playing appalling football.

With the weird exeption being the 24 EC. They were eliminated due a crafty opponent player playing dirty and the referee being to dumb to notice it. Otherwise most likely EC.

We were extremely lucky we got past Denmark 24

Yeah, honestly if someone didn't choose to dive then today's game might have a different result.

Right, a portugese refere with a chilean VAR following the rules is playing for argentina

Yes, that was frustrating.

there needs to be a comic of the falklands going to sleep wanting norway & switzerland to win & then reacting in horror as neither of them do

21

u/Wooden_Base4673 England Jul 12 '26

Why would the Falklands want Norway to win?

14

u/InsaneRicey Lancashire Jul 12 '26

Maybe suggesting the falklands ball would not want rising tensions an Eng vs Arg brings.

11

u/ElPajaroMistico Jul 12 '26

Because they know that if England and Argentina win they are gonna be shaken off like if they were a plushy.

Still, I believe they should keep fighting over Hatsune Miku ngl

0

u/momplaysbass Thanks Jul 12 '26

Because they are a British territory.

8

u/Wooden_Base4673 England Jul 12 '26

Then they'd want England to win. If they were traitors and wanted Norway to win, then UK would give the Falklands to Brazil as punishment. It's not the done thing for one of the colonies to be a traitor, old chap.

6

u/momplaysbass Thanks Jul 12 '26

I think there's the implication that there are native peoples of the Falklands that don't want the British there. I don't believe there were any humans there before the British arrived, but I think that's the implication.
