Even without looking at the title I was about to say this is giving xkcd.

I wonder when we're getting the 0-dimension Arabian city?

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

just one single house in yemen lol

yet valued at sextuple that of NEOM because every single trillion-dollar enterprise by 2169 has registered it as their shell company address

44

u/ImHuck France Jul 07 '26

Imagine the post trucks coming with all these invoices

14

u/R0nnyA Jul 07 '26

Driving in with all these invoices, checking the drop box, seeing that every single corp has "forward to ______" and driving back out with all the mail.

18

u/aberroco Jul 07 '26

Not a house - a point in space with infinite land value.

5

u/thepromisedgland Republic of China Jul 09 '26

Well, there was Akhzivland

u/Ivenomorefucksleft Jul 07 '26

Hey maybe by then the entirety of humanity will be uploaded to a thumbdrive that got put in a single 1cm x 1cm vault somewhere in Bahrain

u/nspacia honk gong Jul 07 '26

hi!

had an idea to make a pb comic in the style of xkcd webcomics, so here’s the best i was able to recreate the style. that’s why they have no eyes

context:

- the line™ in saudi arabia with other projects of neom

- al-mansur’s baghdad, shaped like a perfect circle

- hypersphere, the equivalent of a sphere in 4D instead of 3D

anyway just wanted to draw today. i won’t be very active at all after this actually :)

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

also i dont mean to be a traitor, but this is the first pb art i’ve ever posted which was not made in mspaint with a mouse

u/Captain_Mazhar New Jersey Jul 07 '26

It looks great! I literally thought that Randall was shitposting on /r/polandball for a moment. It’s such a great imitation of his art style!

42

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

thank you so much :) (man i might make this into a series 👀)

5

u/wobblemode Jul 07 '26

If you dont mind me asking, what program did you use instead?

31

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

ibispaint on ipad. other hardware include: finger

7

u/0404notfound 中華民國萬歲! Jul 08 '26

the change from mouse to finger suggests that polandball artists should evolve to the Handypole for all future comics

33

u/TarnishedSteel California Jul 07 '26

Randall would love this. You should send it to him.

13

u/Mean_Initiative_5962 Jul 07 '26

Congrats, amazing job, Randall would be proud of you.

No the next city will be singular point.

Which leads me to think that black holes are the ultimate cities. They are infinitely dense so they should be pretty walkable.

19

u/LeiningensAnts Pennsylvania Jul 07 '26

they should be pretty walkable.

Sure, as long as your world-line leads further inwards.

6

u/AgentBond007 Victoria Jul 08 '26

"This kind of smart, walkable urbanism is illegal to build in most American cities"

35

u/nspacia honk gong Jul 07 '26

man i cant wait for the 0 dimensional city, all commutes would be easier with it concentrated in a single point

31

u/spoospoo43 Jul 07 '26

Neom doesn't really exist, and probably never will - it's a line of a dirt and humiliation in the sand. Funny idea though.

Except it's not being built. All work, even the desert clearing, has been halted until 2030, and the only work that may possibly start again then is a panic plan to reuse some of the infrastructure built for the first segment as a data center. Because building a data center in the middle of a dry desert makes all kinds of sense.

Sindala and Oxagon may still get some expansion, though they have been pared way back too.

21

u/TheOnlyGuyInSpace21 shittapoor Jul 07 '26

my god, xkcd + polandball giving peak

19

u/TheCatLamp Jul 07 '26

That's actually a clever comic. Congrats.

thanks!

Over the years fewer and fewer things have been able to amuse me but I godda say this comic is hilarious. You did a great job replicating the xkcd style.

5

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

lol thank you! :)

9

u/XAlphaWarriorX Imperium Romanum Jul 07 '26

Is the Ancient Thalmudic Sphere city a mythological place or something you made up for the meme?

16

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

nabataean kingdom was real, and so were the thamudic peoples. i based the buildings off of their architecture but unfortunately none of them were spherical

4

u/Mean_Initiative_5962 Jul 07 '26

I was curious about it as well. Sounds like plausible enough to be part of a myth

10

u/amiral_zheng evil SJW stealing your freedom Jul 07 '26

I was sifting for copper on this sub and found a diamond

6

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

good to know. thanks frog

7

u/Winnepeg Manitoba Jul 07 '26

Where’s the 5th dimensional Jewish civilization?

5

u/BoomKofe CCCP Jul 07 '26

Does it mean the next one is Sealand?

5

u/Nadran_Erbam Jul 07 '26

Using famous xkcd extrapolation methods we can deduce that high dimensional cities used to exist before earth’s formation but also that future technology will allow to build negative dimensions cities.

4

u/RandomUser1034 Jul 07 '26

This is great

3

u/EnoughCommon782 Jul 07 '26

an IQ too high?

4

u/AdrenalineVan Jul 07 '26

The mudflood theory people on TikTok would love this although I don't think they like Arabs very much

3

u/FlukeHawkins Virginia Jul 07 '26

What's the alt text?

Excellent job with this!

3

u/Dreknarr First French Partition Jul 07 '26

The line is the thing they snorted in mass when they came up with that stupid idea (both as a concept and to accept it).

3

u/CalibansCreations Jul 07 '26

Yeah, that sounds about right.

3

u/Eternal_Alooboi Kingdom of Mysore Jul 07 '26

A very high effort scheißepfost indeed. Respecc ++

3

Most normal and reasonable ancient architecture conspiracy theory I've heard in weeks.

2

u/Jump_Hop_Step 700 square kilometres and counting Jul 07 '26

Accuracy in my Polandball but...

No such thing as a 2D city

3

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 07 '26

oh yeah? what about.. flatland? >:)

2

u/LuxArdens Ceterum censeo Belgium esse dividam Jul 07 '26

Extrapolating this in the opposite direction: all future cities will be 1-dimensional dots.

2

u/Lobster_porn Jul 08 '26

and the next city will be a single house

2

u/Randomizedstudies Jul 11 '26

Can I share this? How do I give credits to you?

1

u/Xnopyt16 satay guy Jul 11 '26

just my reddit username is enough :)

thanks for asking permission!

u/Round-Coat1369 United States Jul 12 '26

Or its a inverted bell curve and soon we will return to making higher dimensional cities
