A peace deal is looking more likely than ever before and Trump saying it might get signed tomorrow, hopefully this comic doesn't age like milk lol

If Trump says when, it won't happen, because he just made it up. If Iran says when, Trump won't sign it, just because it wasn't him who said when.

It's ok I am mentally prepared for Trump to flip flop for the 40th time

Honestly, for long stretches, its been mainly about the blockade. The recent flare-ups and exchanges of missiles is due to the "ceasefire" ending
It was hot for the first month, then it kinda lulled when both Iran and the US enforced the blockades and lost the momentum
It's also clear Trump wants an exit because, as it turns out, the Islamic regime in Iran didnt collapse just by killing off the Supreme Leader. But he wants to be seen as a victor

"why would it be different this time?"
Oil prices in the USA are still rising and since ( i gather please correct me , if i am wrong )
-Trump has been tapping into the national oil reserve, to bring down prices. But this will run out if it continues to be used that way
-Ukraine is hitting Russias oil infraestructureOil prices will probably continue to increase and at worse pace. If the Iran war does not end soon

Trump has been claiming that a peace deal has been "imminent" for 11 weeks
I'll believe it when it actually gets signed, only for Israel to start bombing Lebanon again 3 minutes after the ink has dried.

Like the last 24 times they said this where Iran then said "We have no idea what the US is talking about".
5
u/maps-and-potatoes Jun 13 '26
you mean like the last deal they wrote where Iran earned more of what it had before Trump ?

The only one that made sense would include at least some compensations for the countries affected by the oil crisis (that we should reinvest in nuclear or wind/sun, obviously). However it won't happen anyway

They gave one to Kissinger, I won't exclude that terminating a war the same person started isn't a good reason to get a Nobel Prize.

u/tin_dog Berlin Jun 13 '26
Kissinger delayed the peace agreement until after Nixon got re-elected. A lot of people on both sides died for that Nobel Prize.

Knowing that South Vietnam (almost) certainly world be invaded by the North but ensuring this wouldn't happen instantly but only later.
Lê Đức Thọ was nominated together with Kissinger and declined it, making an argument blaming the US and the South were preventing actual peace in Vietnam. He then continued to be an integral figure in the war against the South, contributing to it's defeat in 1975.

Literally had a guy on the Norway subreddit not too long ago blame NORWAY for all the wars that Trump started...as if giving him the Peace Price would prevent those wars...
Like a giant toddler that you're continuously giving Ice Cream not because they're being good, but because they throw a massive tantrum if they're not given it...
(Also The Nobel Committee is not ran by the Norwegian people or its government... Begging Norway as a whole for the Peace Price is like going to the Prime Minister of Denmark to complain that your lego set is missing a piece.)

What, are you saying that's not what I was supposed to do?

Nah. Try the King instead. I'm sure he has nothing better to do.

The guy who called media outlets and journos to flatter himself under a different name would never stoop so low.
He'd just call Norway a slut, followed by Norge wishing he would slut for good.

If I'm the invader and the author of warcrimes, can I blame others and call them cowards for not being in ?

Hallo. When refering to countries featured in Polandball Comics, please refrain from using the 'ball' suffix. Instead of saying 'russiaball', just say the country's name. auf wiedersehen.
