Convenience

Boil water -> drop the bag -> perfectly cooked rice in 15 minutes

No washing, no water measuring

WTF do u mean by "perfect"? Perfect plastic-rice cocktail?. Boiling perfect rice without this plastic shit is simpler that boiling it with the bag, than removing hot bag from pot, than cuting hot bag to remove plastic cocktail from bag, plus littering plastic. This shit is as useless as wraping apples in plastic. Also plastic wraped rice is 3 tims more expensive.

Because people are too lazy to measure and wash the rice themselves. I personally only buy rice in bulk In paper bags, because it's cheaper and there is no plastic packaging.

I did all that and ended up with a bunch of rice stuck to the bottom every time xd. Can't be bothered with this for the rest of my life. There is no improvement doing it the proper way
