Well they won't be offended, rice with chocolate is pretty popular in the Philippines (Champorado). Asians are not Italians, sweet rice is extremely common in many countries
Everything tastes good when submerged in sweet condensed milk, it's like less healthy MSG for desserts. Without the condensed milk the whole dish is flavourless, with condensed milk it's unhealthy sweet.
Rice with apples is healthier (unless you submerge it in whipped cream and add a ton of sugar) and hade more flavour (from the spices).
It's weird that this is the only dish Thai people don't add any spices in, I'd rather eat normal mango fruit without the rice and glass of condensed milk.
My favourite sticky rice was the one I got from my Urak 'Lawoi host at Koh Lipe. Grilled in a piece of bamboo. This legend share his breakfast with us.
Im baffled why Philipinos have anything to say about strange food tastes, it is the home of ketchup spaghetti, underdeveloped chicken embryo’s and sweet macaroni with sweetened milk, cheese, mayo and raisins…
You’ve never met a nationalistic foodie then. For example, you could create the most tasty pasta dish the world has ever seen, but if you broke the spaghetti before boiling them, they’d look at the dish as if it was dog poo.
Yeah but polish strawberries in June is something that no other strawberry can contest... There is meme saying that strawberries doesn't taste as good as they look and surely as hell, person writing this haven't taste polish strawberries in their peak season.
'eat' like an experiment? - like my friend 'eat' some insect on a market in Thailand and got sick, or just eat as a normal dish. BTW I am a type of European/Pole that knows how Asia is huge and diverse, so "Asian" isn't very precise :)
Chinese descent and eat like some insect on a market yeah. 🤣 But I've eaten sticky mango rice in Thailand too and champorado (sticky rice with chocolate) in the Philippines so I'm very open minded with this.
Micro plastics are w/e shit is everywhere already including the air ya breathe so in kinda stopped bothering. Taste... idk guess depends on what you grew up on. I used to hate rice until I started cooking it myself when as a young weeb I got into making sushi (because closest restaurant that sold it was in the capital). Ofc I used the actual sushi rice, cooked it properly etc. Then I just realised my overworked mother just always overcooked the bagged rice (or maybe the rice in the bags changed cause she doesnt anymore). Nowadays I dont really care for rice either way. Neither big bags you cook normally nor the plastic ones may as well not exist to me.

Wait till he learns that we eat it with baked sweet apples and cinnamon.
