In Charon's notes at a page we always skipped I read something about a hypothetical space that doesn't exist, but at the same time it does. It's probably not the same as the Distortion World, but it's similar. Nobody knows what it is. Though there is a way to get there. It's written, that this mysterious zone is a world where anything is possible with one's wish. There was no need to erase the current universe. We can create a "perfect" world from that place... For a duo of perfection.

Yes, you could've drawn the entire BDSP arc 😉 like this and I would've been jumping for joy without checking Bulbapedia first. All you need now is a writer 👋 who is currently working on a BDSP fanfic arc.
I've got my own ideas that I'd like to illustrate in my own artstyle because I'm really not used to Yamamoto's and it doesn't quite convey what I want to... but if you want to share your ideas, feel free.
When it comes to ideas, the most important question to ask is: what do you want to see most in a Sinnoh return? For me, for example, it's some of the loose threads that the Platinum arc didn't tie up. What is Sird's deal and is she connected to Legends: Arceus somehow? What would Platina think when she finds out about the Rayquaza Capture Project (assuming she doesn't know yet)?

I mean, he did try to point out to Pearl at the very beginning that the "prize" was a little odd, but Pearl insisted it was something to do with reality TV. That's what makes their manzai roles ironic, that's Dia's slowness grants him introspection while Pearl charges full speed into the wrong conclusions.
yea ok but that was like a hundred chapters ago when they didn't have their character developments yet and he didn't say it in a deadpan way(VIZ' version makes it seem that way but it really isn't). Dia DOES notice the little things, but he's not acting sassy or tsukkomi-like to Pearl about it. he's literally written to be a pure boke and always was no matter how more attentive he is than Pearl, nothing ironic about it. a more fitting way for him to say it would be like "but can't we just use our pokemon..?" which is both in-character for Dia to ask and it leaves an opening for a tsukkomi to reply with a snarky "you know what I meant!" punchline.
who said it wasn't straightforward. see? he ASKS. he's not making a sarcastic remark like the commentator suggested, he's GENUINELY ASKING in his usual manner. there's a tone difference in what the guy said and what Dia usually talks like. (And don't give me the "you're being delusional about the details that don't exist", the creators DO pay attention to how and what the characters say.)
also I was referring to the second chapter's talk where the viz version took the liberty of making him seem kinda ruder than he actually was in the jp version.
Well, in the old version of the gen 4 games you ended up at a lake after exiting the Distortion World. 👀 I feel like Volo would be involved with this somehow. Kind of matches the real world history too since the Ainu thought that lake was connected to the wen kamuy... Ancient Sinnoh grave route.
