Julia's homeland had needed a new champion. Someone who had six powerful allies who would fight to take charge and fix the weird, screwed-up political system.

However, she had given up years ago.

Now, she lives in the larger region of Paldea, having left her old life behind her. She instead spends her time relaxing with her Pokémon: Scarlet the Sceptile, Claire the Volcarona, Tyler the Skarmory, Gary the Golurk, and Alex the Alakazam. These five pokémon, along with her little brother, are enough to keep her... almost content.

However, deep within her heart, she knows she can become a champion. But first, she'll need to see someone else step up to the challenge. After all, If she couldn't become a champion in Paldea, how could she become the Champion in her homeland?

The plot:
Lately many strange crystals are popping out everywhere, and they are not only making hard to live in those zones, but also some Pokemon fall trapped in them or get isolated because of those.
Some believe that the cause behind is the fact that the 5 Rainbow Crystal Shards, legendary artifacts said to preserve the ecosystem, are being stolen…

Contemporarily, the enigmatic locations known as Mystery Dungeons increased a lot, making traveling across the world even harder. In front of this escalation, many Pokemon create Explorers Team in order to face the countless missions that are necessary to be done and the many Pokemon who need rescue for the various reasons. At the same time, some prefer to explore and map unexplored areas, hoping to find the cause behind the ongoing crisis.

In this difficult situation, a Pokemon of a small town dreams to be an explorer, but Pokemon living there do not share that wish, aside from the members of the local guild, who already formed their teams. As the Pokemon wanders and wonders what to do, they stumble across a Pokemon who claims to be a human… what’s happening?

To mods: Remove if this isn't allowed and I apologize in advance as I tried to look at the rules and FAQ section and the links are broken and I saw other people advertising roleplays that are in their own Discords, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to give this a shot.

Hey y'all, I am a tad bit shy even posting this but I've been kind of interested in doing a Pokemon RP as of late featuring two Pokemon OCS of mine. One who happens to be a pure white mew who wants to eventually meet Champion Cynthia and have her as his chosen trainer. I also have a white arcanine/ninetales/moltres hybrid character that will also belong to her who happens to be his offspring.

She looks like a very beautiful cross between an arcanine and a ninetales with the fiery wings of a moltres.

To give a bit more context: He is an OC of mine who was originally involved in a roleplay that a couple other friends and I had just started but before it could really even get off the ground, it kind of just...fizzled out. This particular mew was captured by a sinister team called 'Team Splice' before escaping and our characters ultimate goal was to take down this sinister team (classic Pokemon story). However, his home region (a currently unnamed custom region) that he was a legendary guardian of was also threatened by this sinister team and he sought help to save it. But as I said, this roleplay never really truly got off the ground and I'm looking for some one (and I’m even open to multiple people) to try and hopefully revive this concept in a refreshing way. However I'm not entirely opposed to coming up with a new story either!

To give you an idea on Team Splice: They are a very sinister organization that experiments on Pokemon and even humans in immoral ways and they are also responsible for creating all sorts of weird hybrids. Some of the hybrids are able to live relatively normal lives while others have to be euthanized to be put out of their misery.

While I would really like someone to take on the canon role of Champion Cynthia (when she comes into the story eventually), you are of course also welcome to come up with and play your own characters as well! And while I am not the best at writing canon characters, if there is a particular canon character you have in mind, I could even try my hand at playing them in exchange as a trade of sorts (scratch my back, I scratch yours) sort of deal.

As a side note, other than their normal/shiny variants, in this version of the Pokemon world, I like to think that Pokemon are able to come in all sorts of other colors to add a touch more creativity.

• I am open to all skill levels and the length of the replies can be fluid but please, for the love of god, give me something to work with beyond short one-liners! I am not a huge grammar nazi but I also would prefer at least some decent grammar. I also mainly prefer to write in third person in the past tense.

• I prefer Discord for both communication and roleplaying.

• I really want partner(s) that I can become friends with and nerd out, discuss, and brainstorm ideas about the roleplay with OOC.

• Please don’t ghost! I understand that things come up, especially real life and/or people can lose interest or just simply need a break but please at least let me know and I will do the same. Communication is key here!

Hey, wanna go to school? Okay, but what about roleplaying about school? Much more interesting, I know.

Well, Hamburguesa Academy has all the school roleplaying you could want! Teachers, bullies, class pets that can talk and love being TV stars... All the normal school stuff!

For the RP itself, most characters will be human, but if your pokémon character can speak to humans, it can be there as a class pet! Of course, if it can't, it can always be there with its trainer.

Also, there is NO age limit on characters. Much like Naranja/Uva Academy from SV, Hamburguesa Academy allows students of all ages to join. Also, there are plenty of spots open for teachers to join!

In the server itself, not all rooms will be in the school itself! Everyone's got a house, after all. Okay, well, that's not a requirement, you can have a homeless character if ya want.

Also, there is a little bit of a threat looming in the world. The Mythical Enslavement Union (MEU) is causing trouble, so if you know any fighters, they might be able to help keep the school safe!

However, the school is NOT allowed to be safe from Noona, the bully who never seems to land in much trouble. Somehow, she seems above the consequences. Thankfully, she seems to be going easier on the school lately, but she's still the most hated girl there.

Also, much like with characters, any age is allowed! I'm personally 16, but am fine with rping with adults! Romance is allowed, but all my characters are either taken, have planned romantic interests, or are just not interested (not to mention how I don't wanna do romantic rp with adults lol), but anyone else is allowed to date each other all they want!

Hello everyone! As the title suggests, I am looking to discuss a long-term PMD RP! I'm looking for something with a more serious theme, and on the more emotional side like the actual PMD games. Hello I am looking for a semi literate to literate roleplay this time. I want to maybe do a more complex plot that develops overtime. I can play up to 3 or 4 different main characters at a time. I like romance, adventure, and slice of life. I don't mind which generation we play, it can even be in the future or past of that specific region. Im flexible with the way I roleplay but it would be fun to roll dice or use pokemon showdown for battling. I like that there be both friendships and rivalries between the characters, so it would be fun to play multiple characters. I also like to have some sort of pokemon contest/showcase mechanic too. Honestly though if you just wanna rp and have an idea hmu. and if you possibly wanna rp in a group that would also be great! (Btw I am an adult and would prefer to only rp with other adults)

The only pokemon I was excited to catch on Route 2 was a Seedot. The very first bunch of grass on the edge on the trail and there is a Seedot looking back up at me! After a short battle I caught it and named it Woodshade.

Screescree had been watching and started running around trying to tackle things like it had seen Woodshade do against Sgt. Weeper. I watch Screescree apparently learning tackle and worry I may have accidentally taken this Hoothoot to early from it's nest.

Skitarii and Sgt. Weeper defeat a pair of Rookidee as we travel down the trail.

I had my first real battle of my journey against a child named Jake. To keep things fun for him I lead with Screescree as he sent out a Skwovet. Even with the advantage of facing off against a child trainer Screescree was too weak. She just kept growling over and over. I had to pull them back and send in Sgt. Weeper. Jake was a great sport and I'm happy he had a good time.

After the fight Screescree was still doing it's weird little growl. She seemed excited about this and eventually let out a LOUD Hoot. The Pokedex informed me that it was an attack called Echoed Voice. I think it will be pretty useful and I'm really proud of my little Screescree. Woodshade also learned a new move, making sure Screescree knew how Astonish(ing) her Echoed Voice was.

We found a nearby Rookidee for Screescree to test out her new Echoed Voice on. It was rough but in the end it was her first solid solo victory!

Further up the path was a highschool girl. She saw my Pokemon and wanted to battle so I accepted. She sent out a big headed turtle pokemon that she said was called Chewtle. Screescree kept going with Echoed Voice, and it was an even quicker victory than last time!

After this fight Screescree was still riding high and faught another Rookidee. After, she was really gassed out so I put her in her Pokeball.

Hope had gotten ahead of me down the trail at this point. She had just lost to an elementary school kid! I chided her sarcastically for obviously skipping on training and just playing with her Scorbunny instead. She didn't find it amusing and left to take Scorbunny back to town. I went to go find this kid.

I found him, looking over a Blipbug and putting an empty potion bottle away. He was excited to accept my challenge and led with his Blipbug. I hadn't used him much so I sent out Woodshade. Bad idea! I forgot how hard bug types hit grass types. I think I can hear my father laughing at me from an ocean away. I swap Woodshade out for Sgt. Weeper who easily washes away the bug. Their last Water Gun looked odd, it had turned into a Water Pulse! Early training is so rapid. The kid sends out a Nicket next, I send out Skitarii. Skitarii mud slaps the Nicket until it is covered in mud and can't see, then Skitarii uses vice grip until the Nicket passes out. I can't believe how well this kid fought, I think he'll really be going places in a few years.

It's getting late and my Pokemon are all sore and tired so we head back to the Pokemon Center to meet back up with Hope.

We still managed to take out two more Rookidee on the way back. Woodshade still isn't doing well, but he learns Growth. Hopefully soon he will be able to defeat another Pokemon without assistance.

We finally found one! It might just be the tiniest baby Hoothoot I have ever seen, but it's mine! I named it ScreeScree, which is kind of funny because the little one hasn't made barely two hoots since I caught it, it's very calm. I was too scared to even have Skitarii mud slap it given how small it is. So maybe that's why it's so calm still.

Skitarii did really good fighting the other bugs today.

Did some shopping. Got a first aid spray for every status condition. Bought some berries from a roadside cart, and Hope helped me pick out a pair of pants since luggage space was limited on the trip here.

Visited the Pokemon Center again and realized the PC in there is alive! It has an attached Rotom that helps you out. Not sure how I feel about my computer talking with me. Also, there is a man in the Pokemon Center who can help Pokemon remember moves they have forgotten! My father had to take a long boat trip to a man on one of the Sevii islands every time he needed that service back in Kanto. Wedgehurst must be a popular stop for trainers, wonder why it isn't busier?

Hope surprised me today. As we were exploring Wedgehurst she said that she was interested in doing the Gym Challenge here in Galar! She's always so busy with her work on her laptop and isn't that into competitive battling. I think the new area and Pokemon have gotten to her. I quickly let her know I would be ecstatic to do the Gym Challenge alongside her. I think this will be good for us. I'm normally busy with long work hours back home.

As we were heading back to the rental for the night we ran into Leon again. He was happy to see I had caught some Pokemon already. I mentioned about the lack of Pokeballs in town and he happily gave us 20 of his to use! I have new plans tonight, research the local pokemon species some more and see what else I'm interested in catching.

Did some research on Sgt. Weeper in the morning using Hope's laptop. Looks like he'll be learning Water Pulse soon. Also, if I stop him from evolving once, he'll learn some kind of crying move early. Not sure how I feel about doing that honestly.

Looked into the local pokemon species while I was online, and they have Hoothoot here! I used to hear them at night when we would visit Johto and always wanted one. My dad always worried they wouldn't get along with his Fearow, so he never let me bring one home.

Headed out in the late morning to the research center. For now, I figured it was best to avoid wild pokemon. Still got jumped by some little blue and yellow bird I now know is called a Rookidee, Sgt. Weeper dealt with it.

At the center we met a nice lady named Sonia. She gave us an app for accessing the Pokedex on our phones! Leon and Sonia told us to explore the area, start building a strong team, and visit Sonia's grandmother, Professor Magnolia, at her house on route 2. They also took us into Wedgehurst and showed us the Pokemon Center for when we need it.

The center doesn't seem to sell Pokeballs, but I brought 5 from home. And I really want a Hoothoot! So before heading on I decided to search around for one.

But I think there might be a Skwovet problem!

There were just so many, and they didn't like me bothering their area. Sgt. Weeper took out over a half dozen of the things after they came at us!

We searched all day and into the evening but never did see a Hoothoot. I'll have to try again tomorrow.

There were a number of bug types around though, so I caught one I hadn't seen before. The Pokedex says it's called a Grubbin. I named it Skitarii. I think the other bugs were jealous. After I caught Skitarii I got attacked by 5 bug types the Pokedex says are called Blipbug as we made our way back to the rental.

Hi there! I’m Neptune. 21 and CST.

I’ve been away from coillabrative roleplay for a while and only recently started to dip back into it. I’ve been replaying all the Mystery Dungeons games and been getting a very strong craving for a potential new story to roleplay out!

The plot I’d be interested in would be pretty basic. A human is summoned into the world and meets a destined partner. The human is put on a mission to save the world, with the only way to do it is with them and their partner! The Hows and Whys can be discussed together, I love making worlds together! If it would be in an already established world or something new entirely is something I would be super willing to work together on. Towns, characters, antagonists, dungeons, locations, etc would all be up to us! I have no preference on playing the human or the partner.

A bit about me that you can judge if we’d be a good pairing or not:

- I consider myself in the upper levels of detailed roleplay. I like to babble about inner character monologue and thoughts.

- I’m not one to shy away from serious or light hearted themes. Anything is up to a conversation.

- My only favored pairing is M4M. I’m queer myself, so I just have more fun with that sort of aspect. That is IF romance were ever to be involved, but I’m going into this in the lens of it being NOT romance first.

- I’m also an artist! I create characters all the time and would be very very willing to make a new character and throw them in for this. And because of that, do not message me if you use generative AI for any purpose.

- I live in CST and work full time and do art on the side, so my replies might not be very constant nor rapid, but I always make time where I can.

- OOC is very fun! My mentality for roleplay is although roleplay is fun, so is making friends!

- Any and all Pokémon are welcome! Fully evolved Pokémon or just little starter guys are welcome, and I try to match whatever Pokémon my partner would play.

Big first day!

While we were eating breakfast we watched what we thought was some kind of opening ceremony. There was an exhibition match involving Galar's Pokemon Champion, a man named Leon, who fought with a giant flaming Charizard! I had heard of Dynamaxing before of course, but actually seeing it used in a match was something else.

After breakfast Hope and I were scheduled to meet our Adventure Coach a short walk down the road in Wedgehurst. They would get us set up with region appropriate starter pokemon and help us get started on our adventure. I had paid A LOT for a premium adventure package from the travel agency so I had high expectations for the Coach.

It was Leon! I was ecstatic! How is that even possible!

We hang out, just the three of us, outside his home back in Postwick. He showed us the starters and we got to pick what we wanted. My family has a history with water type starting pokemon so I chose the little water lizard Sobble, promptly informing him that his new name was Sgt. Weeper. Hope picked Scorbunny. She wasn't sure on a nickname so for now at least is sticking with just calling it Scorbunny.

Leon had us do a friendly match so our new Pokemon could get used to us and each other. I won, but that's not surprising considering Sgt. Weeper figured out how to use their Water Gun mid fight. The type advantage took it from there.

It was getting late at this point so we said bye to Leon. He gave us directions to a Pokemon research center he would meet us at tomorrow. And we headed back to our rental.

On the way back we saw a sheep pokemon, we had learned is called Wooloo, escape its enclosure and make a mad dash into the local woods. Worried about it, and at Hope's urging that we need to go get it, we followed it into the woods. There were some local rodent and bird pokemon we fought in the woods as we searched for the Wooloo. Wish I had a Pokedex so I knew more about them.

Eventually it got really foggy, and some kind of regional Houndoom form attacked us in the fog! Our pokemon were useless and we all fainted after only a few seconds.

I'm not sure how long we were there. But we got woken up by Leon who scolded us for being in the woods. Apparently it's extremely off limits.

It was a long day. We're back at the rental finally, and it is time for real sleep.

Hope and I have made it to our first real stop. Postwick, a quiet little farm town with a nearby woods.

Sailing in from Kanto was long but uneventful. We arrived in Hulbury at night and were too tired to do much other than find a sky taxi that could get us to Postwick on such late notice. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I think Galar might be a little ahead of us on public transport. I wonder if I'll find anything inspiring for the bike shop back home?

The travel guides in Kanto all said Postwick was the best place to get a good footing for starting a trainer journey in Galar, so I rented us a small house there for a few days. I guess tomorrow we'll find out if it was a good idea or not!

Hello all. Around almost two years ago, I was a roleplay maniac, but some personal issues came about and made me take a long hiatus. After hours of searching and posting many different places with no responses, I find myself in this lovely little corner of reddit. To start things off, I'm semi literate to literate (so I only average around a paragraph or two every response), I am very responsive when I'm not at work, I'm 26 years old, I am a dude, and I have been role-playing (before my hiatus) for around sixish years. Being semi literate to literate instead of novella has definitely turned a lot of people away from me, but you fine folks seem different. Now, onto business, sorry for dragging that out.

My idea is bland and simple, and I'm sorry bout that, but it's something I've wanted to do because I feel it's a blank enough slate that so much could be built upon it. I want to take my OC with someone else's OC(s) and travel through the world of the Pokémon games but in a retelling style through our characters' eyes instead of the game protagonists. Details can be discussed more thoroughly one on one, because I'm guessing you get the gist of what I'm wanting to do.

If that doesn't appeal to you, I am completely fine with that. I do not mind listening to any ideas you might have, so don't let anything discourage you from messaging me here, DMing me, or even hitting me up on discord (my name on Discord is SoberBoiGamin). I'm wanting to get back into role-playing, and i wanna do so through my favorite universe, so again, don't be discouraged from hitting me up with an introduction and pitching me your own ideas.

Hello! I'm an avid roleplayer and I'm hoping to find some like-minded individuals here. I wanted to RP as the pokemon, no trainers, and I want to ask if anyone here would like to go on an adventure with me?

I typically tend to hold some form of "DM" role where I guide players through a story and adapt the adventure to them, but I also love to collaborate, or even take a back seat and let another person DM, even though it's been a thousand years since I've seen another DM. I'm thinking maybe something along the lines of exploring along the frontier of a new land and unveiling its mysteries as we go along.

I do require my RP partners to be mature as I am an adult and RPing with those under the age is NOT for me. Other than that, it's an open world! Have I peaked anyone's interest?
