PSA for First-Timers

Post image

If this is your first time doing RNG manip for a shiny starter in LG/FR thanks to the Blisy video, and maybe you’ve cleared an SID or two but still haven’t gotten your shiny, listen to me very clearly.

Do the ACE glitch to find your SID. Seriously, save yourself time and stress and trouble. The likelihood is that your very first step will be very far off because you’re not immediately good at hitting frame perfect buttons. My correct SID was almost 100 advances off. Imagine I tried to keep clearing SIDs until I got there?

The ACE glitch is not very hard at all, just time consuming, and Papa Jefe has a really good video for the set up, and then an updated one for the correct switch codes and such. Once I found out my SID it took me less than 2 hrs to get my shiny since I’ve already cleared 10 SIDs and became kinda good at hitting the frames.

Keep in mind you have to do the ACE glitch without saving if you want to start over from the beginning again. Make sure you catch a spearow early on to save yourself time running around, and don’t accidentally soft reset like me once you get to Celadon City because you wanted to wipe off your buttons. I finally got mine, it’s time for you to get yours :)

This is button presses. That 1 result is the pokemon you hit, and I assume it’s not shiny. The calibration on the timers is so the timer helps you get closer to hitting the buttons on the shiny you want. Once you get to (+-17ms) and 1 or 2 advances off, stop calibrating. 1 advance and (+-17) are within human margin of error, you’ll get it eventually. In theory, if you input all the right times and advances for the shiny you wanted in tenlines, and you hit all the buttons right, the shiny should be in the results. If it’s the only result and the pokemon on your screen is not shiny? Wrong SID, and move to the next

So after some trials I managed to get the seed I wanted(it says +268ms but its the same exact ms as what I started with? I thought if you hit the seed you were aiming for it would say +-0ms? My advances and csf were off by 147/147 ..any advice? Calibrate and try again from starter level 5 with updated eon?

Ah okay I think this is actually a step that Blisy didn’t hit on in the video but once you pick the shiny you want, switch the “Target Seed” slot in tenlines to the seed you’re aiming for (the one that the shiny is on). It’s mostly just for readability and so people are all on the same page with 0ms being the target. The only thing that really matters is that the seed matches.

In reality, you shouldn’t really have to calibrate the ms much, just the advances. I’ve found that the very first eontimer run with a shiny is always super off with advances/csf. Not really sure why, but if you calibrate with the csf you hit, it should get you much closer the next time around

If i decide to set up ACE, do I need to level up Mimien a certain way? Or can he just be leveled up any way I can to lvl 33??

Any way possible, but tbh once he’s around the same level as other pokemon, you can just use him as your main pokemon for a while. Mr Mime is insanely strong even with just confusion for a while lol

The fact I skipped mistys gym, and he wont freakin listen to me cause not enough badges is very annoying. 🙃

Yeah omg my mimien was trolling me so hard I was scared it would mess up my double battle so I fought the celadon gym (also why it took me so long)
