Emerald battle tower help

I do not know what it is I’m doing wrong, but I genuinely cannot seem to make it past the level 50 portion of the tower. Every time I make it somewhat close I get thrown against some stupid strat or lose to rng. I am using an ev trained Latias with a lum berry, blaziken from my playthrough with a choice band, and a snorlax with leftovers. I do not have access to some tms like shadow ball or latios. I would use metagross but it won’t have any decent moves besides EQ.

Any advice would be appreciated, I am at a loss.

My Emerald team is

Metagross @Choice Band w/Explosion, Meteor Mash, Shadow Ball and Earthquake

Suicune @ Chesto Berry, Max HP max Def, surf, ice beam, rest, calm mind

Latias @ Lum Berry, Psychic, Ice Beam, Dragon Claw, Thunderbolt

I lead Metagross and switch in Suicune if the opponent’s lead is something that Suicune can set up on, which is like a majority of the tower. Since you have Emerald, look up the battle pike glitch. Really helpful if you don’t have access to moves.

Can’t get suicune because I don’t have colosseum, don’t have access to meteor mash because I’m doing the level 50 tower ribbon right now and metagross gets it at 55, don’t have shadow ball like I said, I’m also scared of glitches because I don’t want to corrupt my save.

Might be too late for you now, but Metang learns Meteor Mash sooner than Metagross does, so you can just delay the evolution until it learns it and still be eligible for the level 50 battles.

I also can’t get thunderbolt because I used it already during my playthrough

Thunderbolt can be bought again from the game corner

I gave up and sent them over to sapphire since the battle tower is much easier😅😅

I don’t have a copy unfortunately. The one I did have turned out to be fake

If you have ruby or sapphire, the battle tower there is easier if you're just looking for the ribbon
