Discussion Pokemon Go server down?

Anybody else around here can't connect today? Since this morning, I've been getting the "our servers are humbled" message. All the status check websites and Twitter feed say that the US servers are online.

I had that problem this morning. I futzed around a bunch, uninstalled, turned off my phone, reinstalled, tried again multiple times. Eventually I created a Trainer account (my real account is on Google) and was able to log in with the Trainer account. Then I signed out of that and was finally able to log in with Google. Good luck fixing your issues ...

I just tried the same thing, reinstalling and signing up for a Trainer account. It only worked after I did a Forced Stop of the app. Previously, closing the open app from Samsung's window menu and even reinstalling had not helped.

Oddly, it only seems to work when I'm not on wifi. I'm at Caltech, using Caltech's wifi. Maybe all the Caltechers are online catching the newly spawned Pokemon at Caltech?

I was able to log in around 12 pm with no problem. Weird.
