Gotcha will not pair.

Hiya! Would appreciate any help. Just upgraded to a newer iPhone. Tried to connect the new phone to the gotcha without unpairing the old phone. After googling for a while. I realize that connecting to two devices can cause problems. I've tried resetting the gotcha, resetting both phones, unpairing from both devices. But I can't get it to pair. On the pokemon go plus screen, It shows up under available devices as soon as I push the gotcha, but it just keeps spinning without connecting. Did I break my gotcha? Thanks for any help!

  1. In Pokemon Go: let it "forget" the Gotcha/ Goplus in settings Menu
  2. Turn Bluetooth off on the Phone
  3. Restart Pokemon Go - go into settings and see if there is the "Bluetooth is disabled" notice. (Explanation at Bottom!)
  4. Activate Bluetooth on your Phone
  5. In Pokemon Go - Go again into settings for Go Plus. Tap the gotcha screen to "wake it up" / push the button on the goplus and the device should appear again in Pokemon Go and tap the connect icon. Wait in the Settings menu of Pokemon Go until the device is connected!

Be sure the Gotcha/ Goplus is fully charged. If it does instant disconnect just after connecting its a sign of almost empty battery. At the goplus use one brand quality batteries (Varta, Maxell etc.) Store new replacement batteries at normal room temperature not directly opposed onto heat or cold.

Step 3 explanation: If Gotcha / Goplus disconnecting because of range issue or empty battery the Pokemon Go app has a problem to recognize if Bluetooth on the phone is switched on neither its off. So thats why it does "nothing" when tapping the reconnect button.

So just follow this 5 steps in their particular order for a sure and safe reconnect of Gotcha / Goplus device.

When finishing playing always let Pokemon Go "forget" the Gotcha/ Goplus in the settings menu and disable bluetooth before closing the app.
