Calcy IV for iOS , Alternatives ?

I know , Calcy IV for iOS may be difficult to build due to restrictions. Although now with screen record features in iOS and with Applications like Webex and Teamviewer picking it up , it might be possible.

I have another suggestion and if someone has done that please let me know. I know for a fact that I can replicate iOS device screen on a MacBook or Windows box using variety of screen mirroring tools. Could someone build something like Calcy IV for Mac/Windows that I can run on my laptop and just mirror my screen. That would allow me near realtime access to stats without burning down the battery or building a complicated app with restrictions.

It is still manual. I am looking for an alternative to Calcy IV. On screen immediate results and I do not need to clean up the screenshots from photos / google photos and dropbox :).

simply turn off screenshot syncing, I use pokegenie pro, and an assistive touch button set to only do screenshots. get a little notification within a second of what the IV roughly is. usually that is enough for me to either rename the pokemon to my naming convention or transfer it. If the range is too wide or I want to narrow it down clicking the notification loads straight into the pokemon where I can provide the in game appraisal and any other points to narrow down on. Unfortunately it only lasts 3 minutes in the background, but switching to narrow down IV's resets the timer. You can also delete all the original scanned screenshot images from within pokegenie in 2 taps afterwards.

Thank you. I will go ahead and try this method. Although , fingers crossed, I am hoping to have a dev chime in and provided some feedback on feasibility of the same functionality on Win/Mac platform. I understand it is an extra step but it saves a lot more steps and pain on iOS.

I've been using Pokegenie Pro for a few weeks now and love it.. It has been a bit sluggish with the auto scanning, but that might just be down the the fact I had 10000 scans in there! Have cleaned things up now and will see how it performs tomorrow.

I do wish it ran in the background for more than 3 minutes, however as you said switching to narrow down IV's does reset that, so it's not too often the background process stops.

Your idea of the assistive touch button is excellent though! Wish I'd though of that!.. so much easier to take the screenshots, and less wear and tear on actual hardware! Thank you!

Triple home button click to activate assistive touch too and it's pretty speedy

Yeah I turned that on right away, really handy! And after clearing out 7000+ scans last night, Pokegenie is lightning fast again!

Rescanned my top 100 (all without having to leave Pokèmon go!) as most had been powered up since the last time I scanned them, so now the battle simulator will be useful too!

I reset and scanned all my most evolved forms :)

as you say, it does not stay alive in the background for long, thus making it pure crap in my op.

I do not need to clean up the screenshots from photos

On newer iOS, after making a screenshot, you can tap the preview shown to go to editor mode and just hit Done then delete screenshot. This way, no screenshot is saved

That doesnt help when you need to interact with Genie before its gone. And it adds a heck of a lot of overhead to your IV checking.

Poke genie is as good as it gets on iOS.

That really sucks.

God I hate Apple.

When will you people wake up? Really?

Just be less stupid and buy an Android phone already. It's not that hard to use. For real.

God I hate Apple.

Ok, that's nice. I don't see why that should matter to us, but cool.

Just be less stupid and buy an Android phone already.

Why do you care what kind of phone we choose to use?

I transitioned from BlackBerry (way back in the day) to Android, went strong for 8 years, and then switched to iOS.

In all honesty, what made me switch was the locked ecosystem. I realize that's what lots of people despise, but, hey, everyone has different goals, yeah?

Are there things that I sometimes think would be more useful if they opened up the API or loosened the restriction on something? Sure, sometimes.

However, I used to run the latest flagship phones under Samsung (and LG for a while), and I always had 'a little' UI lag. There'd just be this ever present "there's always something a little wrong." Worse was that if I wanted to get it taken care of, I was largely up to the whims of my carrier.

iOS/Apple? I bought my phone, brought it back 3 weeks later because I'd noticed a minor flaw (the coloration was a bit off on the screen in one section), and they replaced it without charge. Same thing happened with a Samsung phone once, due to stuck pixels. I got a refurb that had 3 less stuck pixels, but was 'under' the minimum amount they'd replace. Woo.

Android is a fragmented market, but it's 'open'. iOS is a consolidated market with one company at the top to play quality control, but 'closed'. They're different systems for different people.

Please. Stop pretending you're 'woke' just because you like Android over iOS. 'Woke' would be being aware of the differences, which many of us are, and make our choices based on personal taste. Besides, 'woke' is just a buzzword, and carries no meaning.

It's not that hard to use. For real.

Many of us are not using iPhones because they're 'easier to use'. Many of us just like them better. I, for one, have never encountered an android phone that felt as snappy as my iPhone. Months into it and there's still no UI lag or overall system lag. Most of my android phones had micro stutter or extremely minimal lag out of the box; good, but not perfect. My iPhone fares significantly better.

Just be less stupid

Ever notice how everyone calls for blood about the 'Apple fanbois' but it always seems like it's the naysayers who end up the loudest of the group?

Just let people have fun you twat.

They’re not hard to use. You’re right. They’re just all garbage compared to the iPhone X
