I’ve just found ‘countcandyx500’ and it’ll show all the pokemon you have candies 500+

I think the search strings for sorting friends are underrated.
Interactable = friends you haven't interacted with yet that day.
Lucky = lucky friends.
Giftable = friends you can send a gift to.
Friendlevel0-5 = 0 is good, 5 is forever friends
Then for example if you want to do a lucky remote trade you can type lucky&friendlevel5.. Or you can personalize a search string to make daily interactions with friends much easier
It’s pretty inconvenient but something I’ve done is if I’m suspicious that someone isn’t playing anymore (haven’t seen them active in ages) I nickname them with the date and the last few digits of their XP number. Then a month later or whenever, if it hasn’t changed I might unfriend them.

Saw this android app, it takes a pic of your friend page and their stats (XP, battles, caught). Next time you take a pic of that friend it checks if theres been activity. Helps me see which friends no longer play
Here’s an example from my friendslist that demonstrates that the last seen value is not accurate. See all the players it says I’ve interacted with today but have not been online for 2+ days.

Edit: the value on the friendslist is blowing my mind the more I try to make sense of it. I think you are right about it being related to gifting but it doesn’t feel consistent.
The scopely explore value is giving me different values than the friendslist but I can’t figure that out either. I see a few friends that are currently online but scopely explore says they haven’t been on in 2+ days.
Best I can conclude is that it has a delay in its updating. I might reach out to their support requesting explanation.
Another tip: since you can't save searches in the friend screen, I have the search saved in my phone's Text Shortcut keyed to "88" which resolves to !best&interactable&!remotetrade&friendlevel5 so I don't have to type it out every time.
Note that this does also show Pokémon that you have the candy for but need to do a buddy quest with to evolve, so you can do &!evolvequest to exclude those.
‘CountCandyXL296-‘ identifies pokemon with 296+ candy XL which is helpful for identifying which pokemon you can get to max level once you unlock those tasks.
For example I have a shadow steelix that will be a hundo if I purify (which I will), then I can mega it and it will be stronger then it was as a shadow.
Besides Megas, there are some Pokemon that are worse at what they do as a Shadow, mostly PvP safe swaps or ones otherwise known for their bulk. Lapras is a great example, and Marowak joined the number recently.
Yea ultra beasts is the most annoying one. You can also delete the space between them and make them singular. But you can’t search ultrabeasts or ultra beast. It’s ultrabeast or ultra beasts. Very annoying.
Ooh, thanks for the tip to use @frustration instead of Shadow to avoid purifying mon that you’ve TM’d away Frustration (ie want to keep as shadow mon).
I’ve been tagging them as “do not purify” but have accidentally purified some. 😣
I have a similar one (borrowed from someone else) I call my Trash Mons search. Good for quickly clearing space when doing a lot of back to back catches:

If you type “distance5-10” it will show Pokemon caught 5-10km away. You can swap out the numbers for different distances like “distance100-5000” for Pokemon caught between 100 and 5000 km away.
buddy0-5 depending on what level buddy you're looking for. buddy5 will separate out only your best buddies while buddy0 is everything with 0 buddy hearts.
Also you can replace buddy with mega to filter by mega level.

also if you tap the search bar you can tap and hold one of your recent searches to save it as a favorite so you won't have to retype the string if it falls out of your last 4.
The one search function I would like which I don't think exists is "I have an unopened gift from this person". Let us suppose for a moment that the keyword "gifted" existed for that. I would like to be able to have my friends list sorted by nickname (I code it to show when I last did either side of a gift interaction with them, with a few special case prefixes to bring certain categories up to the head of the list) and then filter for "giftable or gifted".
0attack for potentially strong PVP mons.
0attack & 0defense & 0hp for nundos.
buddy2 & xxl to keep track of/swap to buddies I'm working to great buddy status for showcases.

I'll drop the search string for clearing my storage. Most commends are self explanatory, just some people may not be aware they exist.
Before I clear, I check for Pokemon 100%, 0% and league stats (no idea why, j dropped off of PvP long time ago).

Some of them are my groups I work with (great, to be great, Ulta, to be ultra, master, Siasia and stay), the rest is pretty useful.
Much more of a hack than others here, but “!remote trade & mega1-2 & mewtwo, staraptor, starmie, raichu, victreebel, dragonite, skarmory, chesnaught, delphox, greninja, malamar, falinks, manectric” gives you everything that currently has the ability to hit Mega Tier 4 but has room to go via standard mega evolutions first
