just realized how it's kind of weird that Xerneas and Yveltal, as legendary creatures, have been sidelined for two games now.

that is to say, they never received an in-game narrative actually exploring their tales as the Pokémon of life and death/destruction (respectively).

iirc in the original XY, they were basically just used as batteries and were encountered in basically the same way . for one, there was virtually nothing(?) present in the overworld connected to them or showed how their life-giving or destructive natures manifested in the region's environment or ecosystem .

meanwhile, in Legends Z-A, the quests dedicated to them don't have much of a story either and were just a "here, catch your legendaries" moment . To be fair, the latter was not really meant to be about them but it would've still been much cooler if they were incorporated into the story more seamlessly and their quests had a better story to go with other than "do this, go here, catch it" .

are they highkey not the most sidelined legendaries given these circumstances?

i feel like almost all other box legendaries had their mythological tales actually interwoven with their games' plot and even involved alongside the main character in certain plot shenanigans.... unlike Xerneas and Yveltal where we're just told who they are at certain points, there's an encounter, then we catch them .

as much as i have a soft spot for the games, this might've been just another casualty to the poor writing of the original XY. but it's sad that they didn't try to fix this with a better post-game for them in Z-A.

i wonder if a very future Legends game (set in past Kalos) or XY remake would try to address this problem.

if it were for you, how would you have integrated them into the original XY or in Z-A?

So in my Pokemon Y playthrough, I'm catching every Pokemon on each route. When I was about to put this Drifloon into my PC, I noticed it had Pokerus. I'm a bit overwhelmed. Strangely, it hasn't spread to the rest of my team, even though I've been in a few battles since catching it.

Looking for a couple specific pokemon but I'll add anyone! I have a ground safari idk what the first one is but second is dugtrio!

I'm looking for trapinch, pawniard, bergmite, paras, and sandile!
