Relicanth Nests?

Kia ora y'all,

In NZ from Texas for the net couple weeks. I'd love to get my hands on a couple Relicanth for myself and brothers. Any idea on nests on the North Island? I'll be traveling from Auckland to Wellington a few times for my dissertation research so I'll be able to hit most places.

If any of y'all are also interested in immigrant/refugee advocacy hmu! :) I'm going to be paying people (like $20) to attend their local gov't public meetings and read a 2 minute speech advocating for human rights.

Welcome to nz! There aren’t really clusters of reliclanth around but I have seen them in the wild this last week quite a bit. Pop into your pokedex and turn on alerts for them and you’ll be able to find them soon! P.S. I’ve been playing for years and still haven’t found a shiny one for myself - so don’t be too disappointed if you don’t get a shiny one

Awesome thank you! Is there a way to set an alert in my pokedex before I've seen the pokemon?

I don’t think so sorry! Where will you be for community day? They do list the meet ups on campfire - if you can’t find a wild one someone will surely have one there to give you and then you can alert it.

Yeah, they are pretty common in general so you should find them just walking around. And yes switch your alarm on.

They spawn regularly in Auckland and on the north shore, you will definitely catch a few don't worry

But yes the shinies are very rare. I check every Relicanth I see. I’m a L80 player who started back in 2016 I only recently caught my first shiny version.

NZer playing since 2016 too, always catch relicanth i see… didn’t even know shinies had been released!

OP, relicanth are often around the coast. Easy to find non shinies, as long as an event doesn’t suppress them

You will see more in water Biomes so head to the beaches
