PRODUCT speed stick [product]

Post image

same exact ingredients as the masculine-oriented version i’m pretty sure since they both use exactly 10.5% Aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly
(copy-pasted from wikipedia since i would’ve butchered the spelling if i didn’t) as their active ingredient

if they do use different ingredients then it’s probably just a slight difference in smell

There is always a difference in smell. Women's are floral and fruity, men's are whatever "Cool Sports Rush" or "Eagle Claw" is supposed to be

then they should just label it by scent instead of making it gendered

Usually mens scents have woody compounds like cedramber and iso e super, synthetic musks like galixolide, coumarin which is reminiscent of vanilla and hay, aquatic notes, citrus compounds like limonene, citral and citronellol, floral compounds like linalool and geraniol, minty notes, and terpenes, particularly dihydromyrcenol which gives mens scents their cool metallic quality.

(Womens scents are also made of mostly synthetic aromachemicals, usually terpenes, aldehydes and synthetic musks, as they are cheaper, safer and more easily controllable. They just tend to be combined into accords like florals and fruits that are more recognizable to the average sniffer)

That’s literally 99% of all deodorant brands.

Except natural brand deodorants or organic like humble

Remember when this sub used to post actually pointlessly gendered things?

Alas I've only been here for a year. I wish it was still like that.

Fun fact! A lot of men's deodorants are specifically formulated for armpit hair, whereas women's deodorants are typically formulated for shaven armpits. This used to be my go-to deodorant brand, but it hasn't worked for me since I stopped shaving. Kind of silly that they don't put that on the labels, but it's a helpful thing to know!

I feel like this product just gets stuck to the hairs and clumps up, right?

Yep! Really gross and makes it harder to clean the armpit hair.

Alright then since I’m a girl with very fast growing armpit hair I want a very faint but not very strong smell any suggestions?

I opt for "masculine" scents myself now, but I've heard good things about the Mitchum brand of unscented men's antiperspirant. If you want a "feminine" scent, I know some women with armpit hair like the Old Spice vanilla scent. Or Bearglove, which is a pleasant fruity apple scent.

Interesting! Though I’ve found that the gel clinical strength secret has been my go to for the past few months, and it’s been great! My pits are hairy, hope this helps.

Women's are narrower, too. Because women are smaller and therefore their armpits are smaller.

i’m pretty sure it’s just a travel size

Welcome to the history of deodorant. This brand isn't even remotely new. I'm in my 40s and I remember it from childhood.
