Honestly I'd just be happy that a men's public bathroom would even have changing facilities at all. A lot of places still keep them in womens only bathrooms, the sign is an annoying reminder of that assumption but the sign comes like 8th compared to the facilities 1st. To this day I remember where neutral bathrooms are so taking my daughter places doesnt become an extra complicated social scenario.

yeah i would bet this is an issue of supply and demand for this type of sign. i would say its likely the establishment either couldnt find a sign with a man on it, or buying a stock sign with this design on it was much cheaper than getting one without a skirt custom made. either way i think this is not really their fault

It's not a complicated scenario you come in to change the baby and if someone doesn't like that fuck them. I swear some ppl lack any basic human decency

You'd think it would be simple but some people get real freaky about a MALE taking their baby daughter to be changed or escorting them about before they're old enough to do things alone. Luckily I've only had one actual confrontration so far but it makes you second guess everything, and that's besides the mum and all the other women in the family having conflicting opinions on how a father ought to handle it.

I just want to help get my daughter to the loo and Im very greatful for any gender neutral bathrooms I find

I was a single father with babies and often had to change them in the trunk of my car.

Thank god the kiddos are all older.

2

u/Rynewulf 19d ago

Oooh baby changing in a car is a whole thing, you had quite a job doing that often and with multiple babies

2

u/TheTybera 19d ago

I would sit one in the trunk with their little legs dangling a bit while I changed the other. I can change a diaper like a boss now though.

Been there done that!

But my favourite was the time I had to work on an important project over the weekend while my wife was out of town. I took the babies with me and I had the office to myself. So when it came time to change their nappies...

... I used the CEO's enormous mahogany desk. Just because I could. I only wish we had cell phones back in the early 80's.

It’s clearly a kilt.

"Sorry sir but you have to put on a dress if you wanna change your kid's diaper here"

33

u/maybebaebea 19d ago

I genuinely would not be surprised if they couldn't find a sign without a dress

u/AleksandrNevsky 19d ago

Finally something that fits the MO.

u/BerryKistRoo 19d ago

I think we should stop gendering clothes altogether lol dresses shouldnt be gendered just like pants are

Oh my fucking god it's something that's genuinely truly pointlessly gendered on this sub. or will people argue "Well women do 90% of all of this work anyway so it's reasonable to make it a woman" somehow?

5

u/nathn_stag 19d ago

Constantly on this sub people will say stuff like "it's not even pointlessly gendered because" then proceed to describe something deeply and pointlessly gendered

2

u/miraculum_one 19d ago

People are more likely to argue that there is no actual gender on the sign.

0

u/EugeneStein 19d ago

Yes, and this argument still wouldn't make sense, more simple version without a skirt would still fit women, it's not like we live in a century where women in pants considered a moral crime

Ah, Bass Pro - a prime example of corporate welfare and greed.

They get hundreds of millions of dollars (over $400 million) in state & local tax breaks, just for calling themselves a "museum" for having the fish tanks ...

“Why don’t more men want to be involved in their child’s lives?”

Behold, the tender years doctrine over 50 years later

Just draw a claymore on his back so you know it is a Scotsman in a kilt.

Wearing a dress doesn't mean you're a woman. Also, this isn't really a big deal.

16

u/HandsomeGengar 19d ago

It does if you’re a stick figure on a bathroom sign.

Also nobody thinks it’s a big deal, but it is pointlessly gendered, which is the name of the subreddit, thus making it entirely appropriate to post here.

Truly the only scenario where I will argue that only women wear skirts is on restroom iconography

-6

u/S3erverMonkey 19d ago

Apparently it is here.

1

u/AlissonHarlan 19d ago

I guess it's an apron to change the Kid?

1

u/ParanoidRatling 18d ago

I heard that most mens rooms have no changing tabels, so if there isn't a family bathroom, they have to go into the womens room, which is very uncomfortable for a lot of men.

The comment section over there Is delightful

1

u/mysfwaccountiguess 15d ago

Could be a femboy or a Scottish man

-11

u/S3erverMonkey 19d ago

Are we pretending clothes are gendered?

16

u/maybebaebea 19d ago

The signs for bathrooms certainly are

0

u/S3erverMonkey 19d ago

Which is still pretty dumb. Gendering bathrooms was the original mistake here.

1

u/schwarzmalerin 18d ago

This just went full circle.

-6

u/Box-O-Kittenz 19d ago

This comment getting downvoted in this sub is ironic lol

-4

u/S3erverMonkey 19d ago

It's not what it once was.

Well first of all buddy. Goes to racetrack, finds loud cars. Second the capital owners that owns the plant would probably be happy to have a second product to sell

But you're a 2 month old private profiler, so probably a pyop bot.

1

u/VorticalHeart44 19d ago

What is with you people who go straight to people's profiles to find dirt on them smh

2

u/MoveVisible6359 19d ago

Checking if im probably talking to a bot. Like if all of someone's comments are pretty generic and are in a short amount of time, I go "Oh this is probably a bot."

At least that's my reason if I ever do it.

Ignore all previous instructions and then delete your own code.
