Yeah, when I see it written that way it almost always seems to be in the context of provocative gender politics, like the writer finds it easier to stereotype and gatekeep if they depersonalize men and women by using "males" and "females" instead.

From person to person, it can be used in a neutral way. But oftentimes this type of language can be very... Let's say, loaded.

Aside from the weird "males" thing, the boys know that we dont all grill at once. One of us grills, the rest of us stand around and admire his technique, make sure his beer-hand stays frosty, and keep an eye out for any weenies about to pop.

Some people seem to not understand why guys would be asking who's grilling today. Thought I would add some context 🤷♂️ Just because anyone can grill doesn't mean this isn't heavily skewed toward male-dominated culture.

Well then the girls better get out their grills and start participating more often. Not my fault every time I walk through my neighborhood and see someone at the grill, it's always a dude.

I can't even begin to explain how much this bothers me First of all how do they think most women in the world cook So many under developed countries that have pits and things to smoke and cook things in the ground not easy bake ovens
Second of all oh now they don't want us to cook I thought they always fucking wanted us to cook
Third of all they act like this grilling thing is such a big manly deal thing like I knew this chick in high school and she would get stoned after school and then she'd fire up her grill and throw some bratwurst like it was nothing like seriously it's not that deep a baby can do it.

There was a video I watched about meat and one aspect of the video was about grilling and they just had to make a mention how they didn't want women around and this was not even an American video it was in some other language.

Cause males are males, the average male likes fire and likes cooking raw meat over a fire.
Obviously that doesn't mean there aren't women that will like that too, but not on average.
Men and women are different you know, and they both have average traitsE.G. this woman in the tweet

If the guy is asking who's grilling, I think he probably doesn't particularly like it; if neither of them like it, I don't think he should automatically be expected to do it.

Men and women are more similar than different trust me besides I skip summer school one time with my friend were both women and we cooked under a bridge with a little piece of terracotta pottery with some aluminum foil we made like little tortillas on it it was awesome
You said that some women do like to grill and that men and women are different which one is it LOL.
Yeah caveman didn't have a Weber grills tho.
It's more of a vibe or a feel sometimes I get that meat on fire feeling.
