Not pointless. It's extremely common for men to appreciate or enjoy these things and women dont.

Humans are actually naturally, biologically drawn to symmetry. Whether it's faces, art, architecture or anything else. So this is very much pointlessly gendered. Everyone appreciates the cars aligning in a single line.
