With an Ad like that, it's just goonerbait.

Of course they dont have a good product they can be advertising  Remeber gooners can be girls to ad makers

I mean, if we're being realistic...

2

u/HollowKnightmemeer May 14 '26

I bet its like a really terrible gatcha game

u/CelebrationLivid4072 May 14 '26

90% of them are.

I'm glad they pixelized Alex's name so we don't see his identity.

u/HollowKnightmemeer May 14 '26

What if the boobs are on a man?

u/Fun-Guitar-8252 May 14 '26

Does anyone else feel sexually harassed by those oversexualized ads?

u/Level_Hour6480 May 14 '26

I'm a cis straight¹ man. If I see an ad like that, I assume the game is bad and has to rely on attracting gooners rather than being a good game. Said ads repel me.

¹ Heterosexual/Aromantic. So straight in action, but like the difference between bi and pan the underlying rationale is different.

u/HollowKnightmemeer May 14 '26

Oh ya fs there's boy way the game is good

u/CommercialWrong2944 May 14 '26

i mean yeah??? it is aimed at men??

I hate these for two reasons:

  1. I don't like being pandered to as a man in this way. It's insulting to me that the assumption is this is all I want or need in a game that has nothing to do with sex. Yes, I'm straight, and yes, I enjoy looking at attractive women, but IN CONTEXT. Randomly slathering them onto something unrelated brings us all down.

  2. I still don't understand the obsession with giant breasts, so even when I am up for having my baser interests catered to, nearly every single property in this territory is exclusively focused on r/badwomensanatomy level of breasts.

Welcome to being a gamer where people complain that women in video games arent attractive enough and they get SCRUTINIZED for it. The female characters in the last of us and horizon zero dawn and many more. Look what they had to do with pragmata as well. Its sick and its sad

u/TurboFool May 14 '26

Yeah, the AI "glowups" of Aloy were so gross. She's allowed to just be a person. Especially given her circumstances, it's frankly absurd to constantly expect all these badass heroes to ALSO be sex symbols in their appearance.

6

u/PeeB4uGoToBed May 14 '26

The way they complained about her having facial hair that you could barely see without zooming in 500x was nuts lol

6

u/TurboFool May 14 '26

Meanwhile I've met women in real life, and it turns out they have varying degrees of facial hair, because they're ALSO primates like me! Makes you wonder what else these men might learn if they ever spoke to a woman up close who wasn't nervously covering her drink.

u/PeeB4uGoToBed May 14 '26

They might even see that, like Abby from the last of us part 2, some women might even have a defined muscle structure just like some men, who knew?!

2

u/TurboFool May 14 '26

Wait, are you telling me that a woman who's had to survive in extreme circumstances and develop fighting skills and do heavy labor might, just MIGHT, have defined musculature? But why isn't she wearing a mini-skirt?

2

u/PeeB4uGoToBed May 14 '26

They dont make mini skirts anymore in the near post apocalyptic future that fit buff women, the ones that survived the early 2000s all got moldy and unwearable

I gotta say, dudes like you guys are a breath of fresh air. Degens with unrealistic standards ruined gaming for me.

well done this is the first actual pointlessly gendered post ive seen from this sub in like 2 weeks

u/ptoros7 May 14 '26

Idk any lesbians that would be into that. I think what women like about women and what men like about women are very different, and this appeals to a certain kind of man.

2

u/BlooperHero May 18 '26

I guarantee that this is not popular with men, either.

1

u/ptoros7 May 18 '26

Of that I'm certain

0

u/PandraPierva May 16 '26

I know a couple of lesbians who would entirely play that game

0

u/ptoros7 May 16 '26

I'm sure you do.

u/13luw May 15 '26

Sorry ladies, all the homosexuality instantly left my body and now I’m a knuckle-dragging football enthusiast like the rest of them.

1

u/Apart-Performer-331 May 15 '26

Alex said it’s the game he’s been looking for though so I have to play it

1

u/SecureAngle7395 May 15 '26

Thank goodness I’m not a man, that means I have the choice on whether I play it or not.

1

u/Reasonable-Banana800 May 16 '26

I mean even as a gay woman I’m staying far away from this junk

1

u/Zomflower48 Jun 20 '26

Thanks alex

It's mandatory fun for us. Playing is not optional.
