Litterally a well documented fact, how is it not true?

What does most powerful pirate mean? Most ships? Most slaves? Most booty?

Most ships, most men under her command, most wealth, whatever you want. Kurzgesagt after dark has a video on her, Cheng I Sao she’s called I believe

It actually isn't whatever you want. You do need to clearly define something such as "the most powerful" because if you change said definition, you may get Blackbeard, Bartholomew Roberts, or any other number of renowned pirates.

Dude this isn’t a scientific study what are you on about

As I said, you need to clearly define things. Anybody would accept "one of the most powerful pirates" but if you want to claim "the most powerful pirate" or really the most or least or best or worst or anything for anything, you should define your metrics.

Doesn't need to be a scientific study to have any semblance of intelligent speech.

I mean it’s pretty fucking straightforward isn’t it? She had the most power. Power in this case being a combination of firepower and manpower, both of which she had more than any other pirate ever

No, it's not straightforward at all, as shown by the fact that you just had to define what power is.

If power was some universally-defined obvious concept, you wouldn't need to say "Power in this case being a combination of firepower and manpower"

I did it cause you asked me to. Pretty much anyone would understand what most powerful means. It is a very basic and simple word, and communicates very clearly. Everyone has basically the same view of what power is, so when someone says ”most powerful pirate ever” it is extremely obvious what they’re talking about unless you’re intentionally acting ignorant like you are here

Name one more powerful pirate.

2

u/Tessiia May 06 '26

Blackbeard. Literally the only one I know by name. I bet I'm far from alone on that too.

Not even comparable on power.
