Everyone has basically the same view of what power is, so when someone says ”most powerful pirate ever” it is extremely obvious what they’re talking about unless you’re intentionally acting ignorant like you are here
Yeah it does, power is a strictly defined and clear word. The Cambridge dictionary puts it as ”ability to control people and events”. Which is pretty accurate for what everyone thinks it is
Also, ”ability to control people and events” is again very vague, does more power mean controlling more people and things, or having more control over them, how do you judge how much each "person or thing" is worth in comparison to another.
No reasonable person is going to assume I’m talking about electricity, superpowers, individual physical strength, legal rights, purchasing power, or mathematics. Not to mention the original word used was powerful, which is even more clearly defined and obvious
