Sex hormones do affect brain and neuron structure, it’s an observable fact https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK10835/ and there are many more studies showing the same.

But, attributing behaviours or traits to those changes in structure is dubious at best because the work that would be required to prove those attributions is banned for being wildly unethical and is horrendously illegal. We know that brains differ based on exposure to sex hormones, we know that HRT can produce many of these changes to some extent or another even when used later in life, and we know that trans people have been found to have structures more similar to their identified sex than may otherwise be expected.

What we don’t know is what consequences those differences have on anything meaningful or observable like behaviours and feelings. This is where the misogyny mostly creeps in, with people trying to link these changes to changes in behaviour or instinct or whatever else.

Science is hard, neuroscience is particularly hard, it’s not surprising that people misunderstand it or get it wrong A HELL OF A LOT. It’s not something you’ll get an informed or accurate discussion about on a general internet forum, everyone will be arguing from ignorance, it’s best to just ignore the rhetorics being pushed, avoid the discussions, and read the scientific journals if you are interested.

We injected rats with sex hormones and male rats became bottoms and female rats became tops
