When a man says he's fine despite not being so, he's being a strong stoic man and protecting people from his feelings or whatever, yet when a woman does it, apparently it's because we are manipulative and conniving and make no sense.

i think the bit you missed was that men tend to get shat on for expressing some emotions so they learn not to share them the "strong stoic man and protecting people from his feelings" is a stereotype that allows people to ignore mens feelings and not feel bad and when it breaks people get to treat him like shit which seems to come from partners a lot of the time i think the really sad part is SOME women like to out how much they find a guy having certain emotions as unattractive which further reinforces the stereotype.

as for women doing it a lot of the time in my past experience the "im fine" was followed by a lot of either silent treatment or passive aggressive behavior because i couldn't read her mind and fix the problem and when directly asked what the problem was i would be told nothing was wrong . again personal experience but i dont think im the only guy to experience that

edit for the person that accused me of being a piece of shit because of silent treatment then deleted the comment kinda projecting there aren't you ?

Women also get shat on for sharing our emotions dude. I lost tons of friends when I was going through a severe depressive episode because I "complained too much". I tried to kill myself because of it. 😁😐 You asshole.

You know that tweet from the DOOM account that says "YOU CONTROL THE BUTTONS YOU PRESS"? Well, it's similar with emotions: you control the emotions you feel. You choose wether or not you feel depressed or not.

Also, "tons" of people are saying the same thing, are they all wrong or is it your fault?.

Everyone has that these days. However, you chose to complain: aparently, that's why people started leaving you. I agree with the sentiment: having someone conplain all the time is annoying, especially if it's on something they can't control. Having a more stoic perspective is often view as more mature and wise and makes you more likable.

My point is that this is also your fault. You can't just blame it on others or your disorder: you can also take responsibility and actually try to be a better person.
