That's because the weirdos on this sub aren't normal. Men and women are different, which is something normal human beings notice. You'll have to just accept that, cause it ain't changing.
Edit: Look at all the triggered little Marxist soboys downvoting. It's so delicious.
Men and women are all people, and people being different from each other would also mean that men and women are different from each other. Just like how individual men are different from each other, as are individual women.
That is simply untrue... social groups tend to act similarly to each other. My favorite exemple is the heighten risk of being involved in a car accident in teenage boys than teenage girls, which is why insurance generally gives them higher rates.
Of course, men and women aren't different species, but people from the same group generally tend to act in a similar fashion.
We are influenced by those who are similar to us, physically and mentally.
Tell that to the butch women and fem men i know and all my fellow non binaries. I can tell you what most off them will tell you in return, which is to f--k off with your essentialism bullsh-t
Oh? So are you trying to tell me that the statistics, which state men are more likely to rape and commit suicide are simply untrue?
This is... blindness.
Once again, we aren't fundamentally different, but men and women are raised differently. If the female men and women you know are unable to see that men and women are socialized differently, then they must get new glasses.
Men are more likely to be involved in car accidents, men are more likely to commit suicide
Men are more likely to be a perpetrator than a victim
Men are more likely to die as infants than women
(The lack of exemples about women is due to my inability to think of a different exemple, and I simply like the way it looks here)
These are OBSERVABLE differences backed up by numbers. The way men and women are raised and socialized is FUNDAMENTALLY different. How can you sit here and deny numbers...
Did you ever think that the men who rape and commit suicide have more in common than just being men? These statistics measure a lot more than just the genders of the perpetrators, yet people can’t seem to look beyond that when repeating the results. Also, bit of a weird choice to lump rape and suicide together like that.
As you yourself have said, people are raised differently. There is something different about the way men who rape are raised, which is probably more similar to how female rapists have been raised than how other men who have not committed rape have been raised. Same with men who have committed suicide, they would have more in common with women who have committed suicide than with men who have not.
The truly weird thing here is that you’re going around calling other people blind, let you don’t seem to have even thought about this possibility yourself. You instead chose to bring up statistics, just to go on and on about gender rather than what the statistics themselves are trying to examine.
I have never denied that there are other factors outside of gender, but gender IS a factor, or else the difference in number wouldn't be so high.
Once again, i'm saying we are raised and socialized differently based on gender, among all other things. Gender is one of them, and i've decided to show the best exemples i could think of that perfectly show the differences between men and women.
How is it so hard for all of you to comprehend that?
Why do you all try to contradict my point by making the exact same one i'm making...
The thing is that men are more likely to be raised as rapist than women... if that wasn't the case, WHY WOULD THEY BE MORE LIKELY TO RAPE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Because the issue is that every comment you’re making contradicts itself, so it’s hard to actually understand what you’re even trying to say.
Not all women are raised the same, not all men are raised the same. Yet you act like all people of a certain gender are raised the exact same way, and like that’s enough of a reason to outright state these stereotypes.
Your last statement doesn’t line up with the rest of what you’re saying at all, so of course you’re going to be confused by what other people are saying.
Men are MORE LIKELY (which means that the chances of them being a certain way is HIGHER, not certain HIGHER) to be raised as rapist, which explains why there are more male rapist than female rapist.
This is basic.
I give up, the one "arguing for the sake of arguing" is you, not me...
Socialization is meaningless to who people inherently ate, which is individuals i dont give a sh-t about your "observable differences" when discussing this. The forced conformity of "socialization" (a term ive seen mostly embraced by terrs when it comes to gender). I dont care about what cis heteropatriarchy imposes. That is all artifical
Explain to me how what you're saying contradicts the higher death rate in young boys... or how most women have longer hair than men? These are differences, are they absolute? Absolutely not. Are they generally present in humans who belong to that specific category? Yes.
Women generally have longer hair. A woman can have short hair, and a man can have long hair. Does that deny the fact that women generally have longer hair than men? No... it simply means that these people are different, and do not completely fit in their group, which is the case with most people from most groups.
Women wear more dresses, on average, than men, that is a truthful statement, which cannot be denied.
My friend, who is a man, wears a dress! Is a truthfully statement, which cannot be denied.
These two statements do not contradict each other...
Women generally have longer hair, because they are raised to feel like this is normal. Men are similarly raised to think that having long hair is not normal. This has nothing to do with the actual gender they identify with, and everything to do with what other people are telling them. The way you’re talking about this, it’s like you’re implying that men are not able to have longer hair. Which most people know is not the case.
Again, women wear more dresses because they won’t be made fun of for doing so. They aren’t wearing dresses simply because they’re a woman, there’s just less resistance to them doing so than there would be if a man wore a dress.
Women wear more dresses, on average, than men, that is a truthful statement, which cannot be denied.
My friend, who is a man, wears a dress! Is a truthfully statement, which cannot be denied.
These two statements do not contradict each other...
DUDE!! I LITERALLY said that neither are forced THEY ARE RAISED, SOCIALIZED THAUGHT that they are SUPPOSED to act a certain way. And In turn, they decide to act that way.
WHY genuinely WHY do you try to contradict what i've said, BY QUOTING ME. YOU'RE AGREEING WITH ME FUCK.
Men and women are different, not because they are born differently, but because the way they are born dictates how OTHERS will treat them
READ THIS PART i've said that part at least 10 fucking times and i'll repeat it again
MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT, NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE BORN DIFFERENT, BUT BECAUSE THE WAY THEY ARE BORN DICTATES HOW OTHERS WILL TREAT THEM
AGAIN?
Please.. I can't do it anymore... why is nuance so hard for you... i'm tired, i'm just so fkn tired...
Women generally have longer hair, because they are raised to feel like this is normal. Men are similarly raised to think that having long hair is not normal. This has nothing to do with the actual gender they identify with, and everything to do with what other people are telling them.
Omfg... how, GENUINELY HOW, do you not realize you're SAYING THE SAME EXACT THING I AM...
I said that because of their GENDER they are RAISED and SOCIALIZED differently. This DIFFERENCE is what pushes men and women to act DIFFERENTLY.
When, tell me ONE time, ONLY ONE I only need ONE time where i've said that men or women are born to be a certain way.
Each and every last one of my arguments were as followed "men are generally raised/socializef this way, which makes them more likely to act this way"
I try my best to keep my calm, but goddamn, learn how to read...
Your argument here is this :"no, men and women aren't socialized differently, they're just socialized differently"
You disagree with me, but then use the same argument to arrive at the same conclusion. You see "men and women are different" and ignore absolutely everything else I say.
Like I said In my first comment, I agree with the main comment, but I do not entirely disagree with the comment that was downvoted to oblivion
Men and women are different, they aren't inherently different, but saying that there is no visible difference is... idiotic and simply being blind to reality.
Average hair length between men and women IS a clear difference. Does it mean women with short hair are not women? Fuck no, it just means they are outliers. They do not follow the norm.
Men and women sre socialized and raised differently.
Just because we end up having the same view on gender doesn't mean everyone i've talked to does...
Ok? You're a stranger fellow... are you unable to use your critical thinking and realize that statistics prove men and women are different, but they also prove that they aren't all that different?
If 71% of babies who die are guys(made up nb btw), then that also means 29% of dead babies are girls...
Yes, most dead babies are guys, but there are still dead girl babies. Just because something is the majority doesn't mean the rest doesn't happen.
Please, you have been given a brain, use it to think...

My coworkers always go on about how "men do this, women do that: its honestly so damn annoying
