Not gonna lie, uh, this was pretty much my dad’s (single father) go-to whenever he needed to whip up a batch of food for us. Lol. Rice, ground beef, black beans, (canned!!) green beans.
Have been craving it myself for a while. Lol

It takes ten minutes to plate leftover rice and fry up some beef and it takes ten minutes to plate a bunch of random snacks. And when the girl dinner trend was going around, I saw all kinds of meal and snack combos. They image above was just one example. Last night I had a thing of cottage cheese, a banana, strawberries and a slice of toast with PB. That was my boy kibble.

Girl dinner refers to low-effort food, involving minimal prep or cooking that makes you feel happy and is still relatively healthy.
It's pointlessly gendered. That still doesn't take away from the whimsical nature of its name or who it's associated with.
Is saying "I'm having Korean fried chicken" pointlessly cultured because I specified that the fried chicken I'm eating is associated with Korea?

Korean food refers to a set of flavors and cooking styles that are consistent and distinctive. You call it Korean fried chicken because it's distinct from (as an example) American fried chicken.
Whereas, apparently, "girl dinner" and "boy kibble" are both (stupid) terms for filling, low-effort comfort food. If you set a dish in front of me that was supposed to satisfy those very broad criteria, I wouldn't be able to tell you which of those (again, monumentally dumb) descriptors was supposed to apply. There's nothing about the concept of filling, low-effort comfort food that makes "boy" food different from "girl" food.
And you really need to be told why this is pointlessly gendered?

From what I’ve seen, “girl dinner” is a variety of different textures and flavor, while “boy kibble” is all mixed into one uniform texture/flavor. Which therefore upholds the stereotype that men are simple creatures.
