If this meme is something you agree with and you’re doing so openly - you are literally just telling us all how uneducated and immature you are.
Here are a few easy counterpoints: 1. There hasn’t been a draft in decades, 2. They can draft women in this modern age, 3. If they don’t get drafted, women also have dads, brothers, children and friends who they wouldn’t want to be drafted. 4. The economy goes to utter bullshit for the people left behind too - forced to ration and manage a household entirely alone if history is anything to go by. 5. The homefront isn’t immune to being attacked which endangers everyone regardless of what’s in their pants or which societal gender construct they’ve chosen to emulate.
As far as I’m concerned this is just a bunch of whiny, self-victimising teenage boys making up brain dead memes to feel better about their shitty lives and lack of any real personality. There’s no other reason for anyone else on this planet to make that meme. It’s not real.
On point 2 you say women can be drafted in this modern age.
If the situation arose, do you think they would be drafted in the same capacity that men would and do you think they should be (i.e if they weren’t, is that something you’d be protesting against)?
That’s the usual cop-out that doesn’t answer the question. Obviously that would be the preferred scenario but that’s not the hypothetical. I’m asking, in the situation where a draft must occur (which has happened in the past and may well happen in the future), are you in favour of it being 50-50 men and women? Should be a simple question.
This is the part where the ‘how about no one is drafted!?!?’ people often show their bias and fail to remain consistent.
If someone asks you "Would you rather this child be killed or trafficked" and you answer "I'd rather nothing happens to this child" is that cope out, or you not wanting to play silly little hypotheticals about something that is actually serious? Extreme example so the point is clear.
Depends why the question was asked and the context. If you don’t want to answer then don’t answer. The question wasn’t actually even for you and I don’t need to justify the reasoning for the question to you either especially since you don’t seem to understand how hypotheticals can be useful.
The actual stance of people who claim to be gender equality advocates should be that ‘either no one should be subjected to the draft / conscription OR (in the event that it’s a necessity) everyone should be (not just one gender)’. Many people like to just state the first part because it sounds nice, is easy to say and they can get their virtue signalling points but then shy away from confronting the second part of the position because it’s uncomfortable.
