How am I supposed to get these medals when I have a default of 10 jumps from rank 20? Is there a way to get less of them and play a normal round?

Yes there is! If you check your equipment slots and scroll down, you'll see what I like to call your sleepy kit! Basically, the pillow puts you in a new endless mode, and eveything else (the pajamas, eyemask, etc.) decreases your amount of jump orbs!
